Ok, so I'm playing the Orioles in the 2005 season. I've got the standard lineup and the standard rotation. Now, I REALIZE that the Orioles aren't exactly competitiors with Yankees, but this is getting ridiculous. If you look at the stats on the O's players, they are all decent hitters for the most part, not bad in the field either. Yet as of April 20th - three weeks into the season - I have two...count them, TWO...players hitting .250 or above. (Tejada and Bigbie) Now, I'm currently playing the Blue Jays, who have a guy who's ratings are 30-38-43 and he's hitting better than 2/3rds of my team. (I use 100 point scale) I know the Orioles can be streaky hitters, but there's no way the entire friggin team would have a .250 and below after 12 games. Heck, Palmiero, Roberts, Mora and Lopez are all sub .200. WTF? Is there some code I'm missing? Something I'm NOT doing? Is there some way to tell these guys to get out and do some hitting practice or something? Or is the code SO random that ratings really don't matter? Btw, I typically Gamecast my games....I like to watch things as they unfold. Oh, and to be blunt, telling me to play someone else but the Orioles is a lame joke and not really helpful. Thanks!
