I think Puresim 2007 schedule thats in the game is pretty good.

Or does it have problems that I am unaware of?

I just think having options for scheduling improves gameplay....changing start dates, changing all star game dates, # of games vs. division opponents, etc. It would let you cater your league to your own tastes.

Well........it really depends on the association I have a taste for. I'm not complaining, I'm just saying the more options you have, the better off you are.

Well I have a Beta-Beta schedule creator that I created and currently use for PS. I can make it work for most schedule types. I just thought you were looking for something specific.

If there is a "dream" schedule you have in mind, I'd like to take a shot at creating it.

Abev, what different kind fo schedule types can your schedule creator make? Any chance that schedule creator could be made available to the public to try out?

Its still a work in progress. I use it for my assn of 24 teams 2 lgs 3 divs. I use an unbalanced schedule so it really makes it interesting.

The app will create a schedule in non PS format for just about any standard config. It will create a schedule for PS for ONLY my config that I said above.

To be honest there really doesnt seem to be much interest in it, which is why I havnt been all over it to get it to work for everyone.

I wont take much to add different configs to it and get a PS output schedule. It will take quite a bit to get it ready for public use - its very rough and marginally user friendly. I would consider just throwing it out there and let people figure it out for themselves.

I would love to see you release that schedule maker. It would be nice to just see different schedules each year.

Heres the configs I can come up with that I think I can get working:

Teams/Assn Teams/League Divisions Teams/Division
32 16 2 8
32 16 4 4

24 12 3 4 ***this one works already
24 12 2 6
24 12 1 12

20 10 1 10

16 8 2 4
16 8 1 8

12 6 1 6
8 4 1 4

The question is, do those configs work for most of you?

I guess when I created the scheduler, I created it with my config in mind 24/12/3/4. It will only work with assn configs which have even #'s of teams in a div, and even # of teams in a league. 28/14/2/7 will not work. As I think about it, it could be made to work but there cannot be an unbalanced schedule, balanced schedule only. But that is down the road for now.

If we stay with those configs listed above and those work for most people, I can make this public.

It is not for the squeamish though. There is very little error handling. If Shaun has error handling on his end (when you import the schedule) it will prevent you from using an incorrect schedule. Otherwise you run the risk of having something strange happen to you assn. Maybe nothing will happen.

Anyone who does choose to download it will more or less be on their own. I will get you started and fix small bugs, but I wont make it jump through hoops, not yet anyway.

I havnt even had my afternoon coffee yet

Still want it ?

Abev my question is can you choose how many games you want for the season?  Like on one of my associations my teams only play 43 games.

Sorry ak, 162 games only. I ve never tested other configs, but I doubt it would be that easy to change to any other amount of games.

Most of those configs would work fine.

If it were possible, is there any way to add the following which would make expansion easier?

20,10,2,5
28,14,2,7

That way, we could exand 4 teams at a time in that range, and still use your scheduler.

Thanks for all the great work,
Steve
