Is anyone else noticing that the wind is almost always over 10MPH in or out (unless in a dome)? Seems awfully high. Probably averages out in the end, but it seems it would be more realistic to ratchet the wind down some. One game when the wind is out there will be 6 or 7 HRs, then the next with the wind in is a 2-1 pitcher's duel. Is there an XML setting where I can lower the wind effect?

I thought that the wind effect might be a bit overstated, until I did the research. According to what I've read, the average wind speed in the continental U.S. is about 10 mph, so the data your seeing sounds 'right' to me. The difference in HR's is also about right - I think its about a 5% swing in distance from 10mph to 0mph - so a 380-foot fly out with a ten-mph wind in becomes a 420-foot home run with a ten-mph wind out.

U.S. - Table of average wind speeds

I don't know of an .XML tweak to the average winds, no.

Yes, averages as far as I can tell can't be affected.  Indirectly, however, you can affect how it affects ball flight according to the following:

Wind Adjustment increase above 100 to make the wind have a more dramatic impact
   on the flight of the ball, or lower below 100 for the oppisite effect

   Altitide is the same concept as the wind adjustment, but applies to altitude

   Both default to 100
   -->
   <ENVIRONMENT_ADJ WindAdjustment="100" AltitudeAdjustment="100"/>

So maybe cut wind down to 50 and see how you feel about it?  The mph will stay the same; it's just that it will affect it more like a 5mph wind than a 10mph wind.  Theoretically.

Thank you Sitting Duck. I will definitely give that a shot.
