Hi all, hm I cannot read the link. However, there was a dsicussion about the Kingtiger on "Forum_der_Wehrmacht", a forum about the German forces in WW II in German language. I assume that the link shows postwar testing of the Kingtigers armour. The resumee of the discussion was that the steel used for the kingtigers might be worser than in the years for 1944 and that , therefore, the armour was not so formidable as the thickness says. However, if I remember it correctly, there is no evidence that the front armour of the Kingtiger was ever penetrated in combat. Furthermore, the resumee of the discussion was that the Kingtiger might be more reliable as assumed. Most tanks were lost to lack of gasoline and not to breakdowns.... Kind regards,
