Shaun,

I have installed 1.19 and am attempting to run a historical SIM. When I click unattended play mode, I am still getting stuck at 'team x thinking'.

Do you want my save file? If so, PM me and explain how I can get it to you.

That said, I have not seen this issue, so I wonder if it may be environmental...

I am experiencing this same issue after applying the 1.20 patch.

This seems to only affect newly created leagues and I have only
created historical. Tried creating 1903 start 3 times and 1904 once.
After running from 1 - 2 months I always get hung with Brooklyn
- the popup window constantly flickering between "thinking .."
and "Evaluating GM tendancies" like it is in a loop.
This occurs when I set to Sim over a period of time or
setting to run un-attended.

I cannot exit the program and must turn off my system.
This corrupts the database for the league and I then
need to delete it.

I have another league built prior to 1.19 which still works
fine running unattended using 1.20. Ran 2 years with no issue.

I am creating Historical league as follows;

Select 1903 start date - keep all other default settings on first page.
I do not select to manage any team - leave all set to CPU.
On next page I turn on Player Affinity and turn off adding year
to Player name.

Thats it. I then start simming unattended.

Does anyone have the time to check this out to see if it
is a random issue or not.

I had this same problem running both 1.19 beta and 1.20. What I have found is that if you look at the roster lineups for the team that it gets stuck on, you'll notice that they only have 24 players in the majors and will have more than the allowed number of minor league players. I have been running a historical league starting in 1901 and I think what happens is that there aren't enough good players to fill the major league roster and the AI seems to not want to promote any super scrubs to the pros. Just an observation that I have found. Usually, I'll go in and maually promote a minor league player to fill the roster spot and then sim, this seems to fix the issue and I can usually sim without any problems after that, although sometimes this happens to more that one team.

I just fixed this early this morning. I'll release a patch soon.

It happens on pre-1920 associations primarily.
