Thanks for taking the time to reply guys, although I'm afraid I haven't learned anything I didn't already know. Just to clarify, the question is about the standard number of aircraft in RAF squadrons, ie in WitP terms the MAX number of aircraft in a given squadron. In WitP, it seems to be either 16 or 12 for RAF squadrons, 16 for all Commonwealth squadrons regardless of type. About No. 31 Squadron: I want to learn when it returned to India from Iraq. I know it was in Burma by March/April '42, but I can't presume that it came direct from the Middle East and that it wasn't back in India some time between Mid-41 and Spring of '42. Currenly (in CHS) it arrives Aden 420301, but that's solely from a lag of information about it's whereabouts prior to this date. I Emailing the No. 31 Squadron Association a while ago, but got no reply. I know there's at least one, possibly two, monographs written about this unit, and I was rather hoping that someone might have assess to it. Cheers, Tom
