ORIGINAL: Oleg Mastruko BTW, even though Red Orchestra is nominally not an RTS, is there anything this vaporware game has, that RO doesn't have already in terms of features, tactics and realism?? Oleg LOL I understand your sentiment, but having played a lot of RO it's main "flaw" is other players. If it was just 2 dedicated wargamers playing head to head controlling all units on each side that would be one thing, but having 32 guys going in 32 different directions is typically what you get in RO (of course I'm talking about public servers in general). I haven't played it in a few months so maybe it has gotten better... Two words: clan play. You pick people you play with, and you can train with them until you turn blue in the face, and until you make one mean lean killin' machine. Couple more words: real war is chaos too, and especially on tactical level in WW2, you can POSITIVELY count most people in your platoon will be idiots, with 50% perhaps being illiterate etc. We're talking about WW2 Russian and German armies here not modern Navy SEALs, so what you may call players being idiotic and not team oriented I may call certain dose of realism. BTW some time ago I read long rant-ish article - I think it was by you Heat - where author complained about, basically, all other players being idiots and ruining the game for him, the game in question being Battlefield 2 I think, not RO. Anyway, lets say RO players are marginally smarter and more serious than BF2 crowd right from the start but give or take a word or two, what you said in that article, could apply to any other MP FPS out there. Well I disagreed strongly with your stance in that article, which stroke me as being elitist and superior to others, and making a big fuss outta nothing. Yes there are idiots on the Internet. Yes some of them will team-kill and do other things to ruin your game. What else is new?? Apparently, this bothers you a lot, and is taking enjoyment away from RO and BF for you.... If that's the case you need to adapt your attitude mate You have to part with being all-knowing, all-controling, micromanaging anal wargaming freak when playing these games. You have to realise you play with dozen or so (more or less) randomly grouped bunch of people on the Internet. THAT is the whole idea. In as much as you could not choose your squad mates in WW2 German/Russian/US/UK squad - you can't choose people in your RO (or any other MP FPS) team either. Get over it. Leave wargaming control freak personality behind. (And since I play WITP believe me I know what "wargaming control freak" I can be ) BTW RO has very good, perhaps even too restrictive tools against idiots (TK kicks etc.) Basically I can't remember when I had a game of RO ruined by idiots. Sorry for being off topic but now that I re-read my post I think it's not too off topic after all - much of what I said could apply to this WW RTS too. Oleg
