Hi friends,

some days ago (game turns) CVE Nassau arrived in San Francisco base along with... 54 Wildcats and 54 Avengers on her!

is it normal??

if it's a bug, what should I do?

I just won a decisive carrier battle sinking 3 Japanese CV and 2 CVL, It would be impossible to restart

It's normal. Those are VR squadrons, to replace losses on fleet carriers. Not a bug...

You put CVE's with VR squadrons into Replenishment TF's, and the aircraft are transferred when you select "Replenish At Sea". Don't EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER remove a VR squadron from its CVE; they'll become useless immediately.

Note the 40-50 EXP pilots on board of the "replacement" planes. I personally think those pilots aren't worth the efford of an mid ocean replacement....

I suspect that was intentional, to simulate dilution of squadron experience by non-experienced replacement pilots, and as such, it's not a bad idea.

Probably.. it's hard to create an ace during basic training.

Yes, but after you use that group up and fill up again, you are drawing from the normal pool of pilots in the 40-60 range.

NO, none will fly.
They will only replace the losses AFTER the combat...

This I suspect has more to do with you being used to the excessivley high ratings given to pilots in the stock game. Personally I've been all for massive reductions in pilot experience across the board. I'd say a recently graduated pilot from a training facility might be more in the range of 30-40 than than the 40-50 you are saying is basically worthless. I'm have just finally stopped laughing at all the politically correct subjective ratings the designers have given pilots, you know...guys who have never seen combat are given high 90s because in ten years they dive a F-86 through the sound barrier or because the Japanese were great pilots (so we have read), but then so were the USN guys etc...so in the end we have a system which goes from 1-100 but basically everybody is in the top 30 percentile. As a result, nobody can be a bad pilot except maybe the Chinese, and this has resulted in ahistorically low ops losses despite daily operations, fantastic (correction...BS A2A results) etc.
