Hmmm...email is correct and I tested it. Did you remember the "dot" after ds? In any event, please retry, and cc this one: lwea34@ yahoo.com (no spaces). Thanks much.

My attempt bounced too, says due to illegal attachment.

Jim

Centio yours already bounced. It also says it's an illegal attachment. I've tried to send it once more but I think you'll need a less restrictive email account, do you have a yahoo account?

Jim

Edit: Second attempt bounced too, sorry.

Received and downloaded. Thanks Jim.

So far, I tried two games and rolled right past April without any problems. 1805 campaign and 1796 campaign. Also a saved game that now works.

Will continue to play around with it and report later.

Uh [shielding my face with my arms] ... any chance of getting a flag/option put in for the new update to allow for 'always detailed battle?'

I know, patience is a virtue.

I'll see if we can get the beta 1.2.26 patch for this posted in the Members' Club tomorrow or Monday.

So far so good, I think (see below) - 1805 campaign, I played Russia through January 1807 and nothing untoward has happened with 1.2.26.

Interestingly, no Cossacks were levied, none, in May 1806. Previously, there were always a levy of a half-dozen or so. I count 7 cossacks at start, which means there should have been 5 levied if I can count (the formula is Russian Feudal dues /25 * number of Cossack provinces, which would be 50/25=2 *6 = 12 cossacks...)

Also, played a couple detailed battles and can definitely see the changes with Artillery as advertised. More damage inflicted from hill top positions, generally less damage overall (but still tremendous firepower).

I'd start a new thread on all of this but until we know what's what with this patch I thought I'd keep it here for now.

Edit: No cossack levy in May 1807 either...

Just for info, I've been playing Turkey today and have seen both Janissaries and Infantry levied, so Turkish levies appears to be normal. I'll check Russian levies when I have a chance to see if I too see a problem there.

I tried playing as the Russians in the 1792 scenario twice and had no problems with the levies. Both games saw lots of troops levied.

I also saw standard troop levies, but not specifically cossacks, which should be generating each May in the "Cossack" provinces of Russia.

I'll keep playing and see what happens.

Sorry should have been more specific, I saw lots of Cossacks along with the other levies. I'd guess about 8-10 Cossacks (can’t remember exactly how many but it was a lot) the first go around. The second year saw none since I hadn't taken any losses and my feudal rating hadn't changed.

I have savegames as both France, Austria and Prussia reproducing this error.
I would be happy to help with testing, send file to aclaudi@ gmail.com (remove space).

AHA! I believe I have figured this out, and kudos to anyone out there who already knew this. I did not.

Apparently if Russia's Military Readiness is less than 100% you do not levy Cossacks. I never knew this (mayhap a new code addition..?). Anyway, I tested this out twice, 1805 campaign. Each time my Readiness was set at 75% I received no cossack levies, but when I increased to 100% I received the normal rabbit-like breeding of them.

This is a general rule for any nation: if military readiness is below 100%, then there is *no* Feudal Levy.

I'll try to get the "always detailed combat option" flag into a patch soon.
