I've been holding off on starting a new league until the official patch is released. A few folks have had issues with their laptops, but for desktop PCs it appears to be solid. Am I missing anything?

Funny you should mention this, as I just had a crash.

Tie game 3-3, top of the 8th inning. Fly ball to left field with one out, it asked me if I wanted to have the guy at 2nd (with a 12 speed!) tag up and move to third. I hit either the space bar or N (I was reaching for N, but not positive which I hit), and the game gave me the "Puresim must close, anything you were working on may be lost" error message.

I get a hanful of crashes.  Most often trying to right click on the Modify Rosters Screen.  It causes no issues with my league, just need to restart PureSim.

And another (different) crash...again, using V 1.32 RC1:

During simming of one full month (May), got following error (before screen lockup):

Puresim Baseball 2007 Fatal Error
Assertion Failed:CAutoPlayer::simOneGame error in CAutoPlayer::SimOneGame - Object doesn't support this property or method

So that's one crash while managing a game and one crash while simming a month's worth of games.

You might want to hold off on things for now, KG...

I've only had one crash since starting to play PureSim 2007.  That was fixed in one of the earlier patches.  Since then, the only other major problem I've experienced is when an AI-run team got in a loop where they had too few players on their major league roster but for some reason couldn't automatically fill it and were endlessly and hopelessly trying to manage a trade.  I simply took over the team and fixed the situation.

This is all on a laptop, so I'm not sure how likely it would be to experience a crash overall.  I've played quite a few hours this summer too, probably 50 or more, in addition to simming it another 50 hours while I wasn't sitting at the computer.  Just thought I'd give a different perspective to the crash issue.

I keep having this recurring crash. For some reason when my team gets down by 9 or 10 runs in the first 3 innings with my Ace on the mound, it seems to crash.

I hit ctrl-alt-delete and then choose puresim.exe and hit end task. Then game crashes to desktop!!! What's up with that?

And a third (different type) crash. Looks like we're maybe not ready for a release yet.

I'm sending Shaun my database with this one, as it's easily reproducible. Basically, when I select to expand my association, I get this:

"Run-time Error 9: Subscript out of range"

and then it crashes.

I can't duplicate this one. Any other details that may help? Did you get a pop up about a player coming off the DL or an injury etc.. ?

No Shaun, unfortunately that was the only message that displayed. I don't have any other info on it.

I also wasn't able to reproduce it. When I brought the game back up after restarting, it picked up right on the day where it was when it locked up.

OK, I'm closing this one out unless it reappears or has a reproducible case. Thanks for the other reports and sending the file(s) that helped fix a number of the reamining lingering issues. :)

I have had a couple in the last week, all when managing a game and usually before the 3rd inning.
This occurs as I select one of the options (Steal ,bunt, pitch around, pitchout) , the screen turns blue and I have a hell of a time trying to get some info on the error.

I did recover from my administrative tools I had a ERROR 543

I am running V1.20

I'm getting a lot of "Run-time 6 Overflow" crashes when I click on the defense charts of the player cards.

Me too. I've mentioned it in the 1.34 patch thread. Do you seem to have problems later in the season?

It's happening to me and I'm playing on April 8th.

I'm getting the Run Time Error 11 crash when I click on defense charts, as well. Sometimes it says 'Overflow,' sometimes 'Division By Zero.'

(running 1.34, first time I've seen this bug).

Yea new bug in 1.34 with all the new defensive stats being tracked. It should be fixed in the next patch.

Not the crash dump. To be honest that helps very little. The biggest help is an exact set of steps for me to follow and a saved copy of the association that demonstrates the crash. At this point 99.9% of remaining crash issues with PureSim are extremely spurious and very difficault to reproduce, or they are related to environmental/configuration issues.

I'll keep plugging though, so the more reports the better!

I've gotten this crash twice now, since the career-ending bug was resolved.

When I'm simming a month at a time, if one of my players gets a career ending injury, the prompt comes up that I have to adjust my roster. When I click OK, the game crashes and I have to close it out and restart, at which point the computer has already signed a replacement on my roster and the roster has been auto-assigned by the AI.

I hope I posting this in the right place. I dowloaded version 135 and am having a crash problem. I just finished a season and am attempting to start the off-season. The program prompts me that the association is being backed up and then it locks up. I have to control alt delete and end task. It happens if I try to go to the post season or run it in unattended auto run.

Any help would be appreciated.

I love this game and this is the first real problem I have had.

Thanks

Ken

How long did you wait? Can you try the whole process again and be sure to wait a long time? Also, if you have an aggressive virus scanner, you may want to set it to not scan files in the PureSim folder.

I have found that if I minimize the game and close out the main option screen that loads my saved games my crashes are by far more frequent.

Shaun, I just had this error happen again (this time with a player who was a 61 speed at least, so should be running). Other than that, the only difference is that this time I'm certain I selected "N" (for no). Same error message and everything.

So there's apparently something going on with this.

And it just happened again, though this time the baserunner was on THIRD base. The other difference is that this time, I selected YES to try for home.

So apparently, the yes/no option has nothing to do with the problem.

This is the third or fourth time I've seen this "tag-up crash" however.

New one here...

Bases loaded, no outs
Batter hits grounder to 1B
Unable to turn DP, but now 1 out
But bases still loaded with batter on 1B and previous runners still on 2nd and 3rd
Runner who was on first is gone, but guys on 2nd and 3rd didn't move?
I find that unlikely. <smile>

Shaun, just had this one happen to me two more times today, and I'm using the latest RC 1.37. It ALWAYS happens on a tag-up, either from 2nd or 3rd.

I don't have any changes to the .xml file, so I'm sure it's not caused by that.

I have 2GB of memory, so I'm quite sure that's not the issue either.
