I too are a Matrix recruit level type person. I'd suggest you pick the same level of experience when looking for a player. For some of the better players use us as a means to boost their rankings. I'd be willing to do one with you. You pick side and I pick map or the other way around seems fair. Let me know if it works for you.

To play devil's advocate, on the other hand taking a drubbing at the hands of a better player has a beneficial side to it. I took a darn good beating in my first pbem but my opponent pointed out my mistakes and gave me tips on strategy that definately made me a better (not "good" by any stretch) player.  While I'm not that skilled of a player I've done the same when playing players who are new to the game as well. Someone who would grind a newbie to dust just for some meazly ladder points isn't much of a player to begin with anyway.
