The Death of Zenica: Good news of sorts, we were able to repair a armored car beforehand, using the remnants of the three we've lost thus far. It's not much, but it at least provides us with some heavy fire support. This was short lived, as an aerial assault destroyed on car, and a MMG squad on our right flank. The main attack occured 15 mins later, as T34 and T60 tanks charged with large numbers of infantry and under cover of artillery fire. Units on the front have suffered severe casualties, though they managed to destroy three tanks before pulling back. Our Right flank is under threat from a strong force of Soviet infantry, with Partisans operating at our rear in that same sector. Our valiant light mortar crews opened fire with their mortars and small arms, and along with a reserve squad of Grenadiers managed to drive the partisans back with heavy casualties. I have ordered the men to retreat within the town, so that should bring them protection from the tanks. Our remaining AC is moving to reinforce the right flank, and reserve units will likely be moved in that area as well. In the repositioning, a T-34 was knocked out and the infantry riding it repulsed. That makes two of the fearsome tanks destroyed, along with a couple light tanks. One amusing event happened, my men reported that the Soviets own planes strafed their positions. While damage was uncertain, I am sure that it did little to improve the disposition of the Ivans, and maybe reduced the ammo of those lame ducks so that they will no longer cause a problem.
