If anyone has mentioned this before, my appologies. Will R3 address the fact that if you create a team where the city doesn't match the team name, the city displays in the schedule and standings? For example, if you create a team called "Carolina" and set the city to "Charlotte", the schedule will show "Charlotte", not "Carolina". This is a minor thing, but I thought I'd point it out, in case nobody else has.

The city and nickname are independent of each other. Because you can set a team nickname to anything you want, you could create a nick name of Charlotte Lumberjacks but have the team city Carolina.

The question is whether the team name rather than the city can be displayed in the schedule.

The schedule displays the city.  There isn't a choice button at this time.

This is a legitimate question, I set up a late 50s NFL league with the Chicago Bears and CHicago Cardinals, when I look at the schedule I dont know which of them is playing a team becuase just Chicago is shown.

So the team name field is actually mascot, and the city is the location? So to get the results I want in the schedule, I enter "Panthers" as the team name and "Carolina" as the city? I mistakenly put the entire team name in like "Carolina Panthers" and then put "Charlotte" as the city. Field names confused me.

You could look at it that way. One of the other reasons it's done like that is not all teams have the city they play in included in their name. Saskatchewan Roughriders & BC Lions come to mind.
