ORIGINAL: hermanhum Who needs to make up anything? Heh...you'd be suprised. There's one character that claims there's 300 bugs in 3.7.1. He's not in the beta team either. quote:
ORIGINAL: hermanhum The Beta Patch 3.7.1 is available to existing owners of ANW. That's the great thing about science and facts. They are not open to interpretation and can be repeated by anyone. Well the thing is that, no matter what we do, there's always going to be people that are not happy with a product. But for some people, a bug isn't really a bug, but rather 'something that doesn't work the way I want it to'. Perfection is a happy state of affairs found only in the movies and on TV. Unfortunately this isn't TV or the Movies. It IS however the weekend :) Later D There are reasons Herman isn't in the beta team and he has made them clear to the powers that be. Otherwise he would be on the beta team, his absence is not for lack of desire to improve the game. The same goes for his bug reports, they aren't meant negatively, just observations of undesirable results from the game and better documented that most of what you probably get from the beta team. It has been a while since I've coded HC but Herman was there, annoyingly at times yes, with bug reports up to high heaven. But you know what, not a single report was false or concocted, every single one was accurate to a fault and it was left to me and the gang to triage the reports just as your current test process. I expect Herman hasn't falsified anything on the H3 front, especially given the quality of his HC reports when he isn't even a hard core HC player like he is on H3. As for 3.7.1, I can speak from experience both playing and running H3 servers that it just doesn't work well enough to be used for multiplayer. It was a beta, I get it, please use your time to make the game better, not criticize someone who is trying to help or gloss over obvious defects.
