Well, if you can get her to agree, great! PBEM is fun, but it's missing something that H2H boardgaming seems to have.

I wouldn't be able to do anything before the holidays, but that would give you some time to negotiate with wife 1.0.

Any preference as to the game? I've played a bunch (especially many/most of the old Avalon Hill titles) and had fun with all of them. Because of WitP I'm particularly interested in the Pacific war right now, so Flat Top would be my choice. But there's probably a couple dozen games I'd be happy to play.

I had a gaming pal in the late '70's and early '80's whose wife would bring us beers and cook us meals while we would spend the most part of a weekend gaming. It happened on average one weekend a month. Those were the days...In '84 his company moved him to Wisconsin or Minnesota and I've been unable to track him down since...

I cut my gaming teeth on Milton Bradley's American Heritage series games like 'Hit The Beach' and 'Dogfight!' back in the mid 1960s. Then by 1968 I discovered the wonderful world of Avalon Hill - with Jutland and Battle of the Bulge....the beginning of a life long addiction.
