Good morning all. I have sent the first turn of the day back to Terminus.

He did a carrier strike on Noumea. There was a CA DD force in port that I had missplaced (I was wondering where those 2 CAs had gotten to). Oh well I do not think I will make that msyake again.

IJN 250 kg AP bombs pretty much bounce off of RN battleship armour.

Hmm...it used to be that most Bond villains were Russian. What do you suppose this means.....

Danes are the new Bond villains? Bond villains can't shoot straight and brag about their evil plans so much that they are easily defeated. Yep, that shounds like T in his game with Bruce.

Connery is the only Bond just like Shatner is the only captain of the Enterprise.

Its odd that you should be wrong on both counts.

While Connery and Shatner are certainly the most famous, Moore and Stewart are, respectively, the best.

You say to-ma-to and I say you are nuts.

Kirk beats the wussy bald French guy hands down and Connery is far cooler than Moore even though he is a senoir citizen now.

I have a feeling you liked New Coke and Crystal Pepsi too.......

Don't mess with an original icon.

VSWG, I am using Bodhis's utility, but not to it's fullest potential. See above post about missplaced surface TF.

I concur completely, RUPD. Picguard would not now how to use a photon torpedo (let alone an overloaded one good for 16 points)

Did he even know his starship came equipped with phasers.

RUPD, this is something I never would have had to worry about. They classified us for the draft in 74 (1Y I think. My draft card is still around here someplace), but never pulled the numbers out of the bowl. I would have been 4F anyway.

In theory, i could have been drafted to go to Vietnam in 1971, but i had a high lottery number. i am not sure how many folks they were sending there at that point - mostly they were reducing troops numbers by then.

My French came back a little when we were in Montreal 5 years ago. My wife wants to go to France and Belgium the next time we go to Europe. She wants to see where her father had to go in 44. I may buy a language CD after we've made plans.

My brother pulled a 362 in 70. My first cousin who was the same age pulled a 4. He ran out and joined the navy and they taught him how to be an x-ray technician. He never went west of the Mississippi. He is now the head of an x-ray department at a hospital.

That's not what you said the first time. I agree he's cooler. Connery is also a better actor. But as Bond, a particular character in a particular setting, Moore was better. He's just more British. Has that proper snobbery about him that is perfect for Bond.

I prefer Connery as Bond. It might just be because he was in the first bond film I saw, or because I liked the earlier films more.

I liked Connery as Bond better than Moore. The Moore films were a little more tonque in cheek. (I got sick of the Jaws charcter). I hought Brosnan brought back more of the classic bond.

Of course one of my favorite films was the original Casino Royale - "The American aid has arrived, Sir"
