Since I talk so much here, maybe you should see the real KG. So, here's that 49-year-old baby-faced killer :

hat branch of the military did you serve in. Where you involved in any conflicts?

I was a Marine and never was involved in any conflict. I was a technician by MOS intially but spent most of my career as a leader, Made SSgt Fast and GySgt, after that I was not a tech but a leader and a production head. I did get to spend some time as Company GySgt in 2 different commands. ( ops Sgt is I guess closest I can explain for other services)

Spent 5 years of 16 in Division, the rest was either in support command ( FSSG) or 4 years as an Instructor. Was medically retired before I finished my 20. ( 2 years in 2nd Mar Div, 3 years in 3rd Mar Div)

Just curious, please dont think I have some ulterior motive.

I was medically ineligible to serve in the military (insulin-dependent diabetic since I was 8 yrs old).

I felt bad about that, being a military enthusiast and gamer, but I found out that Bill Wilder never served in the ranks either.

One doesnt have to serve anyway. And especially if one cant because of some disbarring condition. Dont worry about it Gunny. Chances are even if you had served you wouldnt have seen any action. ( well maybe GW1) I missed out on being sent to Saudia Arabia in GW1 becauseI was stationed in Okinawa, 3rd Mar Div had to stay put in case Korea got ansy. I found 3 different reasons to be detached and deployed to 2nd mar Div. On the 3rd reason the SgtMaj made it clear.... If he couldnt go, he sure as HELL wasnt gonna approve ME going... LOL he then ordered me out of his office and to NEVER comeback with ANY reason to go to Saudia Arabia.

If I hadnt been married with kids, I might have risked my career by finding a way to end up in Saudia Arabia, I would have accepted Court Martial as long as they let me stay ).

I have diabettes now, since 99, runs in the family and after I got out I gained a bit of weight and eventually became very inactive. I refuse to give myself a shot, my wife does it or I dont get my insulin. Did my own shots for a year or so then said no more. Doctor wasnt happy, I went without insulin for 2 months till the wife began to worry and agreed to give the shot.

I get stubborn like that. Dead is dead, I dont care if I die.

Seems like some of us were loose in the IQ department. I was in the inactive reserve while the bombing phase of the 1st Gulf War was going on. Called the Department of the Army on my birthday (January 30) and volunteered to be recalled to active duty. By the time they cut the orders for me to report to Ft. Knox, it was long over. Got to Knox in April and was there for four months of Armor Officer Basic.

My now ex-wife never knew I made that call to DA. I just told her I was being called up.

I keep trying to take pics of myself but each time the camera breaks and those things are getting kind of expensive. I served in the Navy on the USS Independence as sonar op. served 6 years and was involved in an explosion below deck that caused me to lose 16 % use of one arm and a dent in my right temple from shrapnel. i served during the end of the Vietnam war, but being on board the carrier never saw any action myself.

Looks like Glenn to me. I think the other one is when he found out he had KP or something.

I really like his SAW... Of course, I would hate to hump it 20 clicks.

You know, somehow I expeced you to have far less hair. And it to be in a pony tail in the back, and to have a scraggly beard; like Billy Gibbons'; and to be wearing a Harely Davidson shirt.

Great photos, guys.  We could get something going here.  To paraphrase Mick Jagger: "Alright, you talk a lot...let's have a look at you."
