BTW, assuming I spelled siren correctly, anyone ever wonder how we got from siren (a beautiful creature that drew ships in to crash against the rocks with her beautiful voice) to the modern siren (object mounted on vehicles to tell people to get the heck out of the way).

Is that were Mrs Sylvester rides, on top of the car?

Sorry... Why's it in "Crime Scene Tape" camouflage?

Well, you didn't specify real camo so I thought I'd give it a nice colourful finish. Green and grey gets a bit dull after a while

I was looking for something other than a target tower... Nice colours, though...

Is this for the 'Terminus mod', or just because?

I can do a 'proper' camo one tomorrow if you need one.

Actually, she rides on a broom...
But, enough of this...someone might think I don't have a perfect marriage...

Well, I started a game against the AI, just for kicks. Typical setup, but I activated the USSR, just to see what sort of difference that would make.My point to playing the game is to see just how far forward I can defend against the AI.

I sent Force Z under Adm Layton (aggression 81) to intercept the landing at Khota Bharu and Boise to Legaspi, the AVG was flying air cover for Force Z. I lost half of the AVG (ouch!) but took 20 zeros out in the process and Force Z arrived at Khota Bharu unscathed.

A very long battle ensued with the Japanese CA TF. No Japanese ships were sunk , but 3 CAs were banged up pretty good and 2 IJN DDs may not make port. Only DD Vampire is in immediate danger, but Repulse has flooding of 30% and can only make one hex per phase. Also, I am hesitant to put the AVG back in the air again today, I would rather withdraw them and wait for the zero bonus to go down on Jan 1. At this point, I think withdrawing Force Z is the only viable option. I'd like to repair it and live to fight another day.

Boise did not fare as well. She engaged CL Nagara and 7DD. She stood off at 25,000 yards for a long time (about 4 rounds) shooting at the enemy out of their range, but eventually they closed the gap with only 1 IJN DD really banged up. Boise dodged volley after volley of torpedos but one finally hit...after that it didn't take long to overwhelm her.

The Boise is unsinkable... You must have had synch problems in your AI game...

Clearly the commander is at fault, a scapegoat will be found and shot at dawn.

Actually, I'm terrible with Boise, usually one of the baby carrier groups around PI finds her and sinks her without a shot even being fired.
