That ends the turn. I've put my raiders along the railroad in Kentucky in hopes of cutting off the railroad to slow down the AOP.

Events 2/2

The Union has begun sieging Ft.Henry. in Tennessee. He has a huge artillery advantage so the defenses are already crumbling.

Huge victory in Franklin! 14,000 enemy casualties. I'll post more details next.

My sabotage of their railroads was a big success so they can just forget about Rail movement this turn.

That's about it, Diplomacy stays the same.

Battle Report of Franklin:

Strangely enough in the Battle Report the casualties are somewhat lower.

Anyways, I have captured some very valuable weapons. Improved Springfield and Spencer rifles! I've gained a lot of improvements in ratings and extra points toward an Experience Upgrade.

This battle was Very close to being a Decisive one (Therefore increasing my Nation Will), if only I had lost 500 more men.

My Runners now have something useful to grab at! 30 Weapons and 45 Iron, let's see how they do.

Here's a comparison of the upgrades both sides currently have:

Not too shabby. However he most definitely has the advantage in Weapons.

In the west a powerful siege has started at Ft.Henry already destroying most of the Garrison. I would like the save the fort and defeat this small detachment so I'm sending in the entire AOT to defeat it. Van Dorn's Division is still moving. This division is well equipped with Richmond Rifles so they should be able to contest against an enemy division around it's size.

As predicted the AOP is heading back east.

I'm going to be focusing most of my resources this turn on a new Artillery unit at Nashville. It's going to take awhile to build but it should come in handy when it finally comes out.

In the east I'm continuing the push. I'm attacking Cumberland in full force in hope of doing yet more damage to this battered Corps and then begin the siege of Ft.Hill.

The AOP is coming up so I'll need to do something about that soon. It's too dangerous for Garnett to begin a siege so I'm moving him out to Monongahela to try and intercept supplies / reinforcements coming in. I've also "upgraded" one of the Infantry Brigades in this division to an artillery unit which should be very useful. I can't upgrade the weapon right now (A simple 6 pounder) but once I do it will give a great edge of sieges.

Ending the turn I have set both my raiders to raid supplies.

I'm not sure what awaits, let's hope it's more good news.

Events 3/3

The Union Siege has been extremely successful. Their army must have a lot of high-class artillery.

The AOT made it in time and although the fort lost it's garrison it's not in Union hands. For some strange reason battle was avoided here just making it more complicated.

In Cumberland I managed to completely destroy two brigades of reinforcements.

My Raiders were successful in their raids, however, one of my raiders was killed by the enemy cavalry. I need to get some more, since I'm only left with one. I have plenty of horses so I'm building one in Mephis and another in Richmond.

Finished a good deal of buildings this turn including a Plantation in Richmond.

My Diplomacy is starting to go bad again. England support is back down to zero while the Union's continue to rise.

The Runners got a good hefty sum of 45 Iron. I'm sending them out to try and grab Weapons.

In the West thing are complicated. The AOT made it to the Lower Tenn. River but battle was avoided. Nearby Reinforcements joined up with the Union army. I doubt their strength is at 160,000 men. It's probably more around 60,000-100,000 men.

Either way it's a dangerous situation. Van Dorn's division still hasn't made it to Missouri so he is a wide open target. If I know the Union commander, he likes going after smaller detachments. I'll send him towards Missouri a long a different route and I'll pursue this Union force with the AOT.

In the East Garnett's Division captured Monongahela and caused Unrest. I've upgraded their artillery to Napoleons and I'm now sending them over to capture Erie.

The AOP has come up with exaggerated numbers of 472,000 men. Darn scouts are jumpy. I'm guessing their forces are more along the lines of 60,000 to 100,000 men.

I can't begin my siege with the enemy army so near so I'm going to engage it. The AOP is really beat up while the ANV continues to grow strong, so I have no doubt they will whip em again. However I'm leaving behind the 4th Corps to begin the siege.

My Economy is still as it was. I'm going to start building it up further now, more effectively hopefully.

Building a Factory in Jackson to increase Labor.
Building a Mint in Nashville to increase Money.
Building an Arsenal in Lynchburg to increase Weapons.
Building a Mint in Mobile to increase Money.

That's it for now. I've been focusing most of my resources on my armies.

That ends the turn. I have an upgrade choice so I go with Target Practise 2 because all the others seem to be for Detailed Combat only, sucks. Oh well, it's a good upgrade.

My Raiders are set to Steal Weapons.

Events 3/3

My siege has started in Cumberland. It is at a good start, I've already killed a large amount of the Garrison.

I predicted wrong and the US army in the west didn't move, so it captured Fort Henry.

I won a good battle in Erie. Two of their brigades have surrendered!

I stole a few weapons, which is useful. Finished a Factory in Selma which increases my labor production and also a Naval College which increases my naval research.

My Diplomacy Support once again rises in England. Let's hope it stays that way and doesn't go down again.

My Runners picked up a good deal of Weapons which I will find great uses for. I'm going to go ahead and send my runners off to grab some more Weapons and Horses.

In the west I was wrong and he didn't head South after Von Dorn's division. He left a smaller force at the river and moved the larger portion further north to Kaskaskia. The AOT was right at the river and moved south, I don't know why battle is being avoided so much.

Anyway I am moving the AOT back north to Paducah. They will go through the river where the small Union force in hope of engaging them but I'm not putting my money on it, battle has been avoided many times here.

Van Dorn's division is moving into Missouri. Branch's division who was garrisoning Memphis's defenses is also being brought out to invade Missouri. I have no doubt the Union Army here will attempt to stop them in force so I have the AOT nearby.

I'm also sending Ewell's division into Kentucky with 12,000 men to widen the front and do further damage to the Union population and economy.

Winter is growing near so I have to be quick and take some ground otherwise the weather will come and disrupt my movement.

In the East things have grown interesting. The AOP has split it's forces and is now going on a easter chase after Garnett's Division who is rampaging through Pennsylvania.

I believe the 4th Corps can carry on the siege alone. The Corps at Annapolis looks disorganized so I do not fear it. I'm sending the ANV into deep north as well to take on the scattered forces and cause as much damage as possible. Garnett's Division is falling back to Ohio River to begin a siege at Pittsburgh.

For my Economy I'm leaving my Diplomacy as it is. Let's hope it makes progress.

I'm building a Plantation in both Columbia and Columbus to increase Building Slots and Economy in these cities.

In Natchez I'm building an Armory to further increase Weaponry research.

My siege continues. The Garrison has almost been destroyed, just 1-2 more turns.

I was successful in stealing 17 Weapons which is handy. I also finished my War College which increases my Tactics Research.

One of my Divisions in Missouri was hit by disease. It's not too serious.

Diplomacy has plummeted for the USA, mine remains the same.

I got quite a boost in rating this turn for the ANV which is always welcome.

My Block Runners also got a handy sum of 45 horses and 20 weapons. I'm sending them off to try and get some Iron.
