When it comes time to re-do CC2 (the real CC champ), I hope that the designers retain that CC2 "feel." CC2 game play was completely different than the game that came after it where infantry were routinely run down by tanks.

All I want is to see the same style of graphics (brighter than CC3) with infantry playing a huge role like they did before. Just fix the vehicle pathing, make a map editor with some new maps, and I will be a happy soldier. Please don't make this the same game as it's successor. CC2 had its own loyal following mostly because of the game play, and not just because it took place in the Western theater.

CC2 was definitely my favorite of the series, particularly the grand campaign and carry-over system.  It was great holding onto locations for as long as possible with limited reinforcements.  I didn't care for CC3 when it came out as I felt the campaign system just didn't live up to CC2's, but I never played any of the mods, which seems to be what people focused on with the 3rd iteration.
