My Economy has jumped greatly since the Spring population growth and I'm now producing a good amount of money even while still spending up quite a bit of it on Diplomacy.

I'm building a Plantation is Galveston to increase building spaces here. I'm then building 2 Mints and 2 Horse Farms in Columbus. Finally I'm building an Arsenal in Columbia.

I'm also building a Division Container in Richmond for the 4th Corps. They only have one at the moment and they could use another to support more brigades. Finally I've upgraded the weapons of my new brigades to Richmond rifles and that's it. This has pretty much depleted my whole stockpile.

For upgrades I have another Logistical Upgrade. I'm going to go ahead and get the Skirmisher Training .. Wait, this seems familiar?

I'm not sure what this is about but once again I failed to select the option properly and it wasn't chosen. It looked like it was highlighted as well. Ugh, oh well. I go with Skirmisher Training *again*.

I then set my Raiders to destroy yet more supplies.

I'm going to be away for a day so see ya on Thursday.

Events 3/3

My siege at Cairo starts out rather badly. I'm determined to keep it up despite the casualties though.

I have conquered Lexington, now only the capital remains and Kentucky will be mine.

I have won two HUGE and decisive battles. I have killed a huge amount of Union Soldiers. Three brigades surrendered to me, National Will increases while the Union's decreases dramatically. A dark day indeed for the Union. I'll post battle reports next.

My raiders have been doing a fantastic job destroying the supplies of the Union's armies. No doubt this is one of the important factors that allowed me to win such huge battles.

I finished my mines today. This has give me an enormous boost in Iron production almost DOUBLING it!! I also finished a Camp increasing my reinforcements to 12,000 men per turn. A Plantation was also finished along with an Academy.

Disease hit my Garrisons at Fredericksburg, but it's nothing to be concerned about.

For Diplomacy I was given a very nice sum of cash and naval technology. Support decreased for both sides.

My Runners also managed to grab a very good amount of Iron and Weapons. I'm sending them off to grab some more Money and Iron. I almost had enough for another Runner this turn which would of been greatly welcome because of the huge amount of choices coming up. Maybe next turn.

Battle Report 2/2

I killed about 29,000 Union Soldiers while losing only 8,000. This is a tremendous devastation for the Union no doubt. What I think happened first is Jackson attacked that demoralized army that was sitting within the same province killing/capturing a huge amount of them in a Battle and Pursuit. Next half the AOP comes in along with the other scattered units in the West then the AOT and 4th Corps come in as reinforcements (which is the first time I've witnessed it) and destroy them in a defense.

The Union is no doubt very low on supplies due to my raiders, disease, attrition, and this huge loss. I managed to capture 3 brigades and had a large amount of brigades abandon weapons and further supplies. Notice how many brigades abandoned supplies they didn't even have! That's is a very bad sign for those boys.

I didn't capture any weapons, just a Springfield for one of my brigades. However I have gained an enormous improvement in Ratings, Quality and Disposition. Before these battles the AOT had an average of 2 quality, now they jumped up to 4!

The huge Union force has fallen back to Kenawha, still at 130,000 men. Even though they are at such high numbers this is a huge blow. They are low on supplies, morale and weapons and will have to retreat through the mountains which will do further damage due to attrition. I have squished both armies into the Mountains of Virginia and I should act fast to destroy them.

Starting out in the west to get it out of the way. Van Dorn and the Mephis Division of 36,000 men are besieging Cairo at heavy losses. They are wide open with no opposition since all the Union forces have been pushed over to the east, but since the Union hold the river I can't take advantage of that. I'm going continue my siege and take Cairo and then move on Jefferson City (The Capital of Missouri). It will take time and men but it will further tighten my grip on the river (If it even matters long enough) and give me the state of Missouri.

In the east this is such a huge opportunity. Almost all the Union forces are now squished into the high mountains of Virginia. I can take them all out with a swift blow of the ANV and AOT. I'm moving the AOT and Jackson's Corps of 90,000 men to attack and push back the forces in Kenawha. I'm then canceling Lee's siege of the Cumberland and sending him over to Grafton with 60,000 men to attack the smaller detachment of Sherman's Army of approx 55,000 men. I have no doubt that on both fronts the enemy defense will collapse and destruction will follow.

I'm also sending off the now strong 4th Corps of 16,000 men over to Lexington to take the city and eventually move on to Frankfort. This Corps now has 2 divisions. The 18th division container just finished in Richmond.

As you can see for the economy my Iron has leaped up to 87 per turn and before it was around 50. This should be extremely helpful. Overall my economy has grown rather strong.

Not much done this turn, just building a camp in Lynchburg. I'm also going to start paying more attention to my navy, building another Ironclad in New Orleans. The rest of the stockpile I'm going to save.

Ending the turn I have some more upgrades and a promotion.

For my Weaponry Upgrade I go with Telescopic Sights which further improves my Sharpshooter units.

Finally for another Training upgrade I choose Bayonet Training 2 which will further increase my units' damage.

I promote Armistead, a great Division Commander in the AOT, to 2 stars. I set my Raiders to Destroy Supplies and Cause Economic Damage.

Here's a screenshot of the Mephis Division and Van Dorn's Division. Technically I wanted Van Dorn to rejoin the AOT, but it's always possible I could make these two divisions another Corps or even join them up with the 4th Corps.

It's always possible he may find a way to win, but I'm pretty confident I've got a bigger upper-hand.

Events 3/3

My siege drags on.. Sigh, so many casualties. I should of probably prepared better.

Yet another enormous victory for the Confederates. The AOT managed to attack Kenawha and do further damage to the huge Union force killing another 20,000 and destroying supplies. Battle report next.

For some silly reason the ANV attacked some tiny force and a fist fight ensued. Thousands of troops watched as two confederates had a duel, both of them dying. Well honestly I don't know why this happened, the ANV failed to move to Grafton in which I could of killed thousands more Union troops.

The Union resorts to Emancipation. Those fools. My diplomacy goes down to 0 while the Union's skyrockets., unfortunately. I hope I can fix that. I received a large amount of brigades, and these aren't just low-quality-mustered-brigades, these are brigades of 3,000 men each with 5 points in quality. Both of our National Will increases.

My Raiders are successful in their raids doing even further damage to the Union. Without a doubt this is causing a huge amount of problems such as Attrition.

I finished a Mint and Horse farm, always good.

Diplomacy is already increasing again, support increases for England and Europeans.

My Blockade Runners are greatly successful and grab a hgue load of Iron and Weapons. I'm sending my Runners off to get a large amount of Money and I start building a new Runner in Nashville which will be done in 4 turns. This uses up most of my current money stockpile however.

In the west my siege drags on with heavy casualties. I'm determined to keep it up however.

A small Union Division of approx 6,000 men is moving through Missouri and taking back territory. Not really something I care about, just a tad annoying.

In Kentucky Lexington is now mine. The 4th Corps of 16,000 men has occupied the city and is standing by. Unrest should be settled in 1-2 turns. I'm building my third Raider here who shall cause further damage to the Union tyrant.

However the small army of Illinois at approx 20,000-25,000 men has escaped Virgnia and is now in the vicinity of Covington. The 4th Corps should be able to defend Lexington, I just hope this army doesn't do anything troublesome.

I just remembered I forgot to post the Battle Report, here is it:

I killed another 21,000 Union Soldiers at Kenawha while only losing 7,000. The Union is losing so many men it's becoming more statistical than a tradegy. I have gained a precious Ordnance rifle for one of my Artillery brigades and more weapons and supplies are abandoned. I gain further Experience Points and my unit's disposition and qualit continue to increase.

The Union surely cannot take much more of this, they MUST be out of supplies by now. If they weren't in supply they would without doubt be destroyed.

In Virginia I'm keeping up the pursuit. I am dwindling on supplies but I can't miss out on this opportunity. As a solution I increase all my units in Virginia to Normal Supply. This has an enormous hit on my Economy, but I can take it.

I do a similar strategy as last time. The ANV comes from the nroth while the AOT coms from the south. The Union forces are now near Parkersburg so they will be getting their troops out by Rail. I have to stop this, take Parkersburg, and kill as many as possible. The ANV and AOT combined make up 150,000 troops to an approximate 140,000 Union troops. The Union troops, obviously, are in no possible condition for fighting.

Now I need to sort out the large amount of brigades I received due to Emancipation. They are scattered throughout my cities, I need to centralize them. I'm sending them all to Abingdon so I can get them organized and have them ready to reinforce units that need reinforcing. This adds up to a formidable force of 26,000 high quality men(one brigade still on the way) whom I have equipped with Richmond Rifles.

Diplomacy has been reset to 0 while the Union's skyrockets due to the Emancipation. I leave my diplomacy spending as it is to get my support back and hopefully lower the Union's. As you can see my Economy is suffering dramatically due to the priority change of my units. This is a rather large sacrifice in resources but it is essential to keep my armies moving. Most of my money should be, hopefully, replaced by the goods my Runners pick up.

I have used up most of my resources on another Runner, Raider, Weapons and upgrades using up all of my Money and Horses. However I still have plenty of labor and Iron. I'm building a Mint in Baton Rouge, two Arsenals in Charleston, and two more mints in Columbus.

That ends the turn. I have two upgrade choices. I sure have been getting a lot of constant upgrades recently!

First an engineering upgrade. I choose Fortification Techniques 3 which further helps out with sieges.

Next a Naval Upgrade. My only choice is Harbor Torpedoes which helps greatly in my defense against Port Attacks. I go ahead and choose it because the Union fleet is nearby New Orleans and if they port attack this upgrade should help me defeat them.

I set my raiders to destroy supplies and that's it.
