If I am besieging a fort and am attacked and defeated are my troops supposed to retreat?

One would think so. However, I just had a turn where my forces were besieging, got attacked and lost four battles (once again the number 4) to the same attacking force - and never was pushed out of the area.

Sonny, if you get a chance, can you take a snap of what you see on the map ?

I got a idea of what is going on, but from the way you are saying it, I am not sure if that is the reason

I wish I could copy the report which shows the four battles in the same area but the data is not selectable in the report.

Here is the map.

Here is the report. One battle in week 1, two battles in week 2 and another in week 3. All Confederate victories yet my troops were never kicked out.

thank you

it looks like what I was thinking it may be

it looks like it is a fort is attacking the seige, but I have never seen it like this one, for soem reason, one of the last fixes, the City will attack a enemy fort, and you will get the  same forces fighting each turn, over and over again (but I don't see it when a Container is in the hex)

but, that don't have a City, so either what I think it is, is wrong and we got to hunt someplace else, or we got 2 thing that are like what we hunting for

do you still have the save for that turn, or when it is happening ?

if so, can you zip up the two save files and upload it here or send it to me in a PM ?

I don't have any containers. Containers are geekspeak sh*t. I have divisions, corps and armies!

I saved the file when I saw the report and have not played a turn since. Do you want an autosave also? If so which one?

EDIT: Dang, rar files not accepted.

Can you try zipping the files with the zip built into XP?
