Oh the weather outside is frightful
but War in the Pacific is delightful
so with a turn in the inbox you know
let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Actually we had snow here in Victoria on Xmas day......it snowed on the Dandenong ranges as well as the usual places such as Mt Bulla.  It was a really surprise considering we are now in our summer. And only a few days before we had lost 800,000 hectares to bush fires.

T was still up and sent me the 3/7/42 turn. Singapore fell on 3/7/42. I guess Java and Sumatra are next.

We ran 4 or 5 turns today.

You just gotta love July-Dec 1942. Japan and Allies are evenly matched, neither side can really mount an offensive against the other. With every move your convinced its going to spring some enemy trap.

Try a CV raid against the industry at Perth. It would have worked for me had the weather cooperated. Be bold as Japan and if you are playing the Allies just sit back and wait.

Couldn't connect to the forum all day...

Anyway, I'm off to the 'Stanley-Kubrick-Night' at the local cinema: Dr. Strangelove + Full Metall Jacket!

Or you could be bold as the Allies and raid the industries in Northern Japan. Has worked for me a couple of times.

I have an unpleasant feeling that my PBEM with Bruce has gone out of synch, and I can't for the life of me find a thread with Pompack's Patented Re-Synching Method...

1. Japanese player, receives Allied turn.

2. Japanese player turns off COMBAT REPORTS

3. Japanese player watches combat, enters orders and sends to Allied Player. (Japanese player does without combat reports and SIGINT for one turn; take good notes during combat)

4 . Allied player watches replay with COMBAT REPORTS ON (AFAIK)

5. Allied player enters orders and sends to Japanese Player

6. Japanese Player receives allied turn, turns ON COMBAT REPORTS

7. Japanese player watches combat, enters orders and sends to Allied Player.

Nik should have got a 'sensible' dog tithe

Seems like your pooch is on a roll at the moment...
A bit like my Grandmother's springer spaniel, that mutt has had 4 ops to remove socks from his digestive system, and still he keeps going back for more
