Hi,

Can any one supply the beta 373 file? I cant find it on any site. I know the full version is about to be released, but I think it is stupid to pull the beta file just because "it is nearly(we know what nearly can mean in Harpoon lol) released".

Go to the "members" section. Login/Register and login. register your game there if you havent. Go to "my games" and then "private downloads".

Is this.. "patch" going to be any good?? or are we just going to be stuck with a 60 dollar buggy game thats practically useless?

Im sorry.. i HATE game designers that release games with MAJOR bugs. This is just.. shoddy and unprofessional. I .. ME .. IVE released MODS for other games that were less buggy.

Yup. On that I agree. In practice I haven't played ANW since I bought simply because that either it kept giving me these navigational errors or it simply crashed. The navigational thingie is said to be solved in 3.7.3 but I haven't had the time to try it out yet so I can't comment on it yet.

For some the patch won't fix enough. Me, I've been happy enough with each version except the 3.7.1 beta. I can play, have fun, and have multiplayer battles. Some players won't ever be happy with the game, there will always be bugs, much as we hate them but that doesn't mean you can't have fun and a realistic experience.

My guess is that the patch will fix many bugs, probably not all of the bugs you consider major. But the patch will probably not all that useful until the database authors can bring their beauties up to speed and then we'll have to wait for the scenario writers of the community to revise or make new scenarios that cater to the patched version of the game. That should be eased somewhat by the work of Bucks (Darren Buckley) with HUD3. So the patch will likely hit with a resounding thud and then gain speed over the coming months as the community gets some scenarios out that take advantage of the changes and that work around the remaining limitations.
