Well, I'm blaring that music as loud as possible here at work.  It's keeping me company.   We'll see how long it takes to drive me bonkers.

Indeed.....still it would have made a great background track while i was researching over at Tanknet.org for my WinSPMBT mod work. While not quite as entertaining as the typical Japan vs US threads seen here.....(or threads about the mighty Bismarck), it was still amusing to wade through the exchanges on which tank could do this or that. Still...after 60 pages and a little personal research....i solved my T-72 hangup.

Maybe i should put the leek song on my brand new iPod. (GF unit got sick of seeing me running with my ultra-cool retro Walkman tape player and got me one for Xmas.....with a card that said "Merry Xmas....and welcome to the 21st Century. Love, Santa."

Still backing up the dying computer...

i finally got a (new) recording DVD drive hitched up externally, and got some of the data onto DVDs. Then i kept getting error messages about the media being bad on trying to record anything more...

i turned it off and went to bed, and now it is working this morning. This might be because things cooled down over night, but i suspect the problem is due to my changing the file name option (to allow longer filenames). Anyway, it is working now... (whew)...

Actually, it is a Finnish folk song (sung by a Finnish band) - but these particular lyrics are gibberish and mean nothing.

And no, it NEVER ends (Flash cartoon in an endless loop) ...

If you go back and look at your other song - you will see the spinning leek girl "projected" on the wall (briefly)

Think of your GF as very forward thinking (or really, really embarassed when you're in public).

How do you download it? Can't figure it out. Want to try it when I run a turn.

in case you haven't read the article: "In the anime, Orihime is spinning the leek in a frequently used running joke, in which she explains to another character that she wants to cook something (usually something very unusual and/or obviously inedible)."

Yeah, unusual is understating it.

Hey...it burned a few more calories and showed off my coord skills whenever i had to flip the tape over while running

lol....actually, figuring out the downloading part was a little tricky. I hate programs that assume your a knob [ALERT....obvious Terminus SPAM opportunity], and try to automate everything. The iTunes program works great as long as you let it do everything but try to manually arrange things and it gets trickier. It allowed me to do everytihng except sync to the iPod (eventually found the menu option...which was grayed out...and unselectable) But unplug and replug in the pod and it sync's automatically. stupid program.

Still...impressive compression tech....i put a dozen CD's on it (taking up gigs of harddrive space on the 'puter) and the little thing (which is the base model Nano....2G (500 songs), is only half full.

I miss my tape player though.....

Christmas Eve is probably the only night in the year where such a thing is possible... Nice thinking there, Robert.
