Im very new to the whole WITP editing process.
I was just curious.. but if you change something in the database editor for a scenario.. does that change the editor for the entire GAME?
maybe a dumb question, but i want to make sure that when im adding a whole mess of Japanese carriers into the tutorial scenario at Palau that im not messing up the entire game for myself :P

It only modifies that scenario. Each scenario has it's own unique set of files (called the database).

If you edit any of the scenarios that come with the game, you will be forced to save it in another slot. The editor does not allow you to overwrite the stock scenarios.
