Status: offline 		Hey guys...anyone play the camp "raiders of the Sahara" ? I tried it 2 different times...with different kinds of stratagy and units....both times got my butt handed to me. I like to feel I know the game and good stratagies....but ,...with this one...I am lost. Any hints?

Status: offline 		I took one section of x-mas incursiori and their 47mm equipped 4x4's and a single stuart tank and managed a draw for 4 out of the 6 battles!! it stumped me too!! 
and no I didn't manage to get the enemies HQ in the last fight where u have to get back to your own lines.

Status: offline 		sorry...forgot...just using 8.403...I bought a couple armoured cars...some 3in morters with ammo truck...a couple snipers...a couple squads...a some recon squads..

Status: offline 		If i remember correctly u only get a couple hundred points for initial purchase,so flash,,, I bought what could get the job done,, so what if I had to hold my pistol on them threw the whole thing,,  a draw is still a draw no matter if the combatants are cohersed,bribed,or led in blind,the Italians in ver.8.4 could actually fight!! or at least the covert forces they have can fight!!

Yes. It's at the Depot, in the Enhanced Scenarios area.

Status: offline 		The trick to most of the "raids" in this campaign is only doing what you can, not what you think you can. In other words, don't get greedy and try to destroy everything; some of the battles are designed so that you don't have to destroy anything, just get off the map. Avoiding  battle is oftentimes to your advantage; you have the speed to be able to escape if the fire gets too hot.

The date on Raiders of the Sahara at the Depot is July 2006 and Enhanced FV.1 is September 2006.  But I fired it up and started one anyway.  The SM.81s by the airfield looked like snipers/crewmen and some of the other icons looked a bit weird.

Status: offline 		There were no major changes to between FV and FV.1 that would have affected this campaign. I just opened all the scenarios in an Editor using FV.1 and saw no icon problems. The OOB dates were 8 Sep 2006, those for the scenario files are 12 Jun 2006, and those for the campaign files 15 Jun 2006.

I'm in the 1st scenario of the Enhanced version of RotS campaign.
There were no visible icon problems for me using FV.1

(b.t.w. Flash, of course I purchased the recommended force , with a carrier and Bren team as the extras)

I just love watching those ammo dumps explode.
