I am forming a new multiplayer league for anyone interested. You will need to have PS2007 v.1.51. Here's the concept, a fast and furious run through major league history starting in 1901 with real players but with added modern flavor:

- Modern closer usage
- Home Run slider to "90" in Custom Association settings -- I don't know if this does anything but it makes me feel good and I have seen dead-ball era leaders from 18-24HR season which is pretty good.
- DH in the AL (NL managers can vote to adopt the rule too)
- Free Agency, Financials enabled

The fast part looks like this; I plan to sim 2 weeks every day. There will be a couple "off days" in the sim schedule so we can catch our breath. I will also schedule some 1 week sim intervals days for the weeks leading up to the trade deadline and the pennant races and playoffs.

"WHAT-IF" PLAYER POOL
In order to keep the player pool pretty rich and to produce some really interesting career results we'll make some edits to the initial player pool. Player’s ages will be adjusted down to give the veteran players in 1901 the potential for longer careers. Their ratings won't be touched just their ages and that will be controlled.

Here's the scale:
- 18-24 yrs old will not be adjusted
- 25-27 (-2 yrs)
- 28-30 (-3)
- 31-33 (-4)
- 34-39 (-5).

We'll play with 35 man rosters, early import and we'll add 5-15 players from the Negro Leagues and/or the 19th Century at the start of each season's Free Agency period. If we decide to expand the league we will add even more players from those pools in those seasons to the Expansion Draft Pool. The GM limits are 5 year max contracts and I would favor using a hard uniform salary cap and some manually enforced roster rules for players in the minor leagues to force greater free agency but that's something for the managers to discuss.

LIVE INITIAL DRAFT
We'll have a full live initial draft that I will facilitate via web meeting, IM and a conference line. To keep the draft moving there will be a 2 minute hard limit on picks. If no pick is entered I'll make the pick via the "Suggest" option. Before you all chime in with the math that is a maximum of 18.5 hours for 35 rounds x 16 teams. I think the first dozen rounds should go pretty fast with few people using their allotted time and we can split this out over a few sessions too. The future drafts will be live too but we'll have fewer picks/rounds to contend with so that ought to be pretty fast. This will be scheduled and the format settled once the league is full.

MORE TEAM CONTROL
You pick a franchise from one of the below and that will determine your regional finances, league and division affiliation. Rename your team to any combination of a real place name within the US, Canada, UK (or your country of origin) and any nickname that exists or has existed in the world of professional sports. You may choose any ballpark from MLB history. We will "draft" the stadiums and the order for the stadium draft will be determined by the order in which you claim a team and join the league.

INJURY HANDLING
Because of the longer sim interval (2 weeks) and the fast pace of the season sim I will handle injuries in the sim as they occur. If a player is injured to any severity where they cannot play for a period time I will place them on the appropriate DL and activate them appropriately too. Owner/managers will provide a short 3 player list for the minor leaguers to be swapped for the injured players. Players who get Very Minor, Minor or Moderate injuries but are able to play will not be manipulated by the commissioner. The player GM settings will dictate.

Here's the team pool to start with the financial region in parentheses. 15 slots are open... I am going to take whatever the last AL team available turns out to be.

AL
Baltimore (Bal)
Boston -A (Bos)
Chicago -A (Chi)
Cleveland (Cle)
Detroit (Det)
New York -A (NYC)
Philadelphia -A (Oakland)
Washington (Minneapolis)

NL
Boston -N (Atlanta)
Brooklyn (Los Angeles)
Chicago -N (Chicago)
Cincinnati (Cin)
New York -N (San Francisco)
Philadelphia -N (Philadelphia)
Pittsburgh (Pit)
St.Louis (StL)
