ez all. my friend and I dont like playing the end date and auto victory on this game or the last one. first we gave supply bonus to the axis every round so they had a even chance of conquering the world and the allied and an even chance of defending it, of course most people complain the game will take too long, not true i play through a game in a few hours. anyways i like playing the game so if it take a couple days im fine with it. i found that the game still invites stale stragegy because the whole idea of the game is too be more efficient than the axis in real life.(which is ez because hitler was f**k**g crazy and stragegicly retarted) so then i started moding the game in order to give the axis a chance to claim victory, more like A&A which is the game we all started on and love. plus haveing the computer decide who wins seem stupid like ice skating jugdes i perferr a game with a definative winner and loser defined by the players more like a game of chess, the games over when one side gives up. i am very glad this one is as ez to mod as the last. so im off to make a fair and balanced [trademark foxnews]version of the game. i also think that the game designers didnt put much thought in to the cold war senario because its over soo fast and the end date ruins the game there is no point to upgradeing because u cant get to 43 by 3's. i also dont like the new upgrade stragegy becuase the old way actually allowed u to gain an advantage over ur oppent but useing all ur reasoures to upgrade one unit, i miss upgradeing on my movement phase tooo!!!!!!!!![this rule changed in one of the many patches to the first game] i hate not being able to stock pile research even becuase all the rule changes make upgrade slow and borring there is no point in seeing what ur oppenent is upgradeing because its sooo slow and ur going to upgrade the same stuff every time anyways because of the efficency that the game seeks. playing many of the top players in the last WAW was somewhat boring because they all played the same dual early atttack USSR stagegy. then once a couple squares into USSR they formed a defencsive wall and slowly drew back into german, playing this over and over lost its fun. i really dont like the fact the u dont get to sink transports with units on them, the transports stay out and are always empty???? all the transports in the atlantic have nothing on them no supplies no planes no soilders ????? not very realistic. every time the germans sunk a transport [in real life] on its way to england it was FULL of supplies and war weapons, 2 kills for the price of 1.
i only rant like this cause i play the game a lot and i dig it enuff to mod it and play it

Hi buddy,
Thanks for your comments, but perhaps you are jumping the gun just a bit:
After a few months in exclusive PBEM, I don't see anyone using a well-known and practiced specific strat, such as the double-team on Russia ploy.
As for your observation concerning the transport losses, perhaps you have a point there, but again, the game is quite abstract about the whole shipping capacity and movement system: like how the transports do not actually move most of the time......

All that though is somewhat beside the point for your mod, I look forward to trying it and hopefully we can face off again on it.
