Hopefully soon.

When people started reporting the 1st down on fumble problem I asked to hold the the next public release a couple of days to evaluate it. I also fixed a couple of other bugs in the process. And incase it was missed, I was unable to replicate the fumble bug with the current private beta build. Based on the reports, nothing overtly special was required to replicate it, other than the offensive team fumbling and recovering their own fumble. So, doing that many times, over and over, and not seeing the problem, I think it's been corrected.

So hopefully I'll get that too you as soon as I can.. I know the F9 thing is annoying, and it's preventing some game play.

So...this means in a few days, a few weeks, a few months......when our grandchildren graduate college???

Not looking for an exact day, but how close is it percentage-wise to being released?

Well, a bit shorter than that, I would have to believe.

Actually, if Matrix Games puts it up as a patch, it should be along soon.  There is some backlog in getting some things to the front, and we are looking at some follow on issues. David has added some changes and tweaks, so we'll check them out in the update, and David will likely pass it along as soon as he can.

David and Matrix Games are trying to have a clean R3.0 build out before moving on to the R3.5 features, because that will take longer to release as a public build.

So, should we be sitting at our computers going "Just a few more days.... Just a few more days...." or should we actually get on with our lives and expect it in a few weeks or so....

I can't wait to try the new sim engine!!!

The new sim engine is not part of 3.5, as far as I know.  The beta team is tweaking the current sim engine though, as we do from time to time, to make sure that the statistics are more in line with what we would like.  In this case, we would not only like good stats, buit also stats that compare well with the stats of played games, so there is less imbalance between played games and simmed games.  For leagues players, this is important.

Of course, we will return to that again after we tweak the playbooks, so it goes in cycles.

In my estimation, a public update will not be in just a few days, as we would have liked.  From time to time the wheels slow a bit behind the scenes.  David is using the time productively, but builds just do not come as fast.  I am sure 1.3.149 would have been considered for a release, but David found a follow on bug that was relatively easy for him to go back and correct, but it basically ruined what was otherwise a nice build.  If not for that, a new public build would likely have already been posted.

As always, we are also looking into a few issues that community members have brought up.  It is better to check twice rather than to miss something.

I would like to a moment thank community members for their input on the public beta forum.  Matrix Games and Wintervalley Software could stay private in beta releases, not add features, and take less heat from outside of the community, but public input is important, and feedback really is helpful.

Oh....wait a minute. I didn't explain myself. I wasn't taking about a new sim engine, but the ability to turn the ball off during the sim to make the sim go faster. Is that in the next patch/release/public beta???? Thats kind of what I was asking...
