Ok noticed a small problem, shouldn't the backs be named AnSidexxxx.bmp instead of AnShipxxxx.bmp?

That's not a small problem, that's a BIG problem... Didn't even notice it when I DL'ed myself this morning.

OOOpppsss, too right! Looks like the factory got a wire crossed. Fix is on the way. In the meantime, just do a global search & replace. Sorry about that.

New file with correct names sent to Spook & Rogue. Sorry about that.

Work around for those comfy with the command prompt, you can do the following:

In Windows, drag & drop the AlliedShip_Back folder into the top level directory so it's just under C:\

open command prompt and type: cd\ [enter]

then type: cd\alliedship_back [enter]

make sure you are in the right place by typing: dir [enter]

if so, type: ren AnShip*.* AnSide*.* [enter]

to verify, type: dir [enter]

go back to windows and drag & drop the AlliedShip_Back folder back under the Art folder in the game tree.

What a cluster! Real sorry about that. Should have the fix up soon.

Thanks undercover, and thank you for your patience. I hope Mrs.undercover didn't whack you too hard.

Wouldn't you know it; we tried to get everything possible right, but at the bitter end, at the mechanical yank'em, crank'em stage, we have a cluster like this. Oh well, totally my fault

Ciao. JWE

A "catastrophuck" as it were... By the way, I totally support the idea, posted elsewhere, that submarines should have full-hull shils...

BTW, thank you very much for noticing the error and alerting people to the issue. It's people like you that make this work.

As to the full-hull shils, I personally agree, but that is outside the scope of the 'art replacement' set. There is so much to do that we cannot afford to make any 'additions?' 'enhancements?' that fall outside the scope of the stock art. If we were to do one, then we must do all, and we have neither the time nor the brief to do so. I'm sure you understand.

Frankly, I think the people who want the full-hull shils would be very well served by DL-ing fremen's sub files. This project was never intended to to be all things to all people, and clearly fremen has some beautiful art that is very well suited here.

Wasn't me that noticed it, and I do understand what you mean. I use fremen's files, plus some extra ones for some of the other non-stock subs in my mod...

i saw the thread in bold - and thought oh no, after all the bleating for the updates theres going to be the IJN now, and im still copying and pasting the Allies like a good 'un!!!!

They look awesome, bring em on, cant get enough - ill copy and paste til the sun comes up

i dont suppose you could just send me that blank panel eh? i wont tell

Still bashing on in the tutorial scenario - played the tutorial as head to head, just getting used to it now as the Allies, all on my own, no bits of tutorial anywhere - and i just sunk most of these guys in a huge battle off Guam

Woof, Cathartes, a man of many talents.

So, the latest update; almost finished with panel-2, just a few more to go. Panel 3 is mostly the subs and those were done about a month ago, so I would guess the Japanese should be ready next week. Sample below.

Latest up-date. Panel 2 just about finished. What a pain. Japan built a one-off for every job!! Crikey!! Finally found a source for the Gatoraides (Gyoreitais), or at least 2 of them, from the Czech Republic of all places. The drawings are annotated Morskoi Kolektia CST (the old Sov equivalent to our ONI Warship Recognition docs). I guess the Czechs are still tweaking the Russian Bear's butt (If we have this, what else do you think we have??) Good on 'em. Still looking at a Japanese art set release this coming week; then we're done, except for some cleanup and addressing some some of Apollo's issues.

Sample below. JWE

B- Actually from AH's Victory in the Pacific game, but close guess. I got it off the net as I can't find my game in any of the boxes in the attic. Man! I hope I haven't thrown it away along the way!

BigJ62 - I see that your from Raleigh. I'll be heading up that way for family funeral this week in Ahoskie if you know where that is. Up 95 and then take a right at Rocky Mount. Actually, my brother-in-law lives in Raleigh.

Thanks guys. BigB's warships are in this, so they better be awesome, eh? Kelley, my little sister lives in Prattville, just North of Montgomery. Next time I go visiting, I'll give you a toot.

OK, Japan is done (kinda, I have 2 more gatoraides to figure out, but that's it). Sample of last panel below. Sometime tomorrow, Jose & I will start Side'n and Shil'n. We won't make the same mistake as last time, we'll try and find a new one. Lookin for a release in a couple days, and then we're done .. oh happy day .. done .. crikey, I need a new contacts prescription .. but, we're done !!!!!

Hope you like. Enjoy.

Finished !! Jose & I had a beer and decided to go with the Czechs on the Gyoraiteis; the 201's are the captured Dutch MTBs, the rest are rational departures on what the Sovs designated as T-9s and T-43s. Hey ... whatever! So here's completed panel 2. Now, off we go Side'n and Shil'n. Let ya know when they are posted.
