hi guys...

what kind of music do you prefere?

I've started with U2 and in a highschool discovered The Pogues...after that i run into more serious waters with French music (modern and "classic), Enigma and Dalida....after finishing my study i was able to travel and get infected with salsa (yeah i know what you will say but i still enjoy in sound of latin music)...funny enough i still enjoy in all mentioned kinds of music, depending on my mood....

of course, a "war music" always kept me inspired - " a long way to Tipperary" march is one of my favourites!

Can we take this discussion in your AAR to relate it to something...like your hits per view count?

U2 bud all the way. Listening to them now just before signing off.

Also like a range of other music from Classical to Rock.....Chicane......Corrs........Rachmaninov.....REM..........Prodigy.....Norah Jones...Metallica.....etc etc

U2 are my favourite band. Seeing them in concert at Twickenham in 2005 is a concert I will not forget.

Good Grief... I feel positively ancient. Rolling Stones, Cream, Led Zeppelin, CSN, The Who, Hendrix, Doors, - later included Springsteen, ACDC, U2. Kinda crashed and burned on what metal became - changed over to more blues style stuff - Uriah Heep, Savoy Brown, etc.

Classic, the obvious suspects - Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Debussy, etc.

Lately (last 20 years) I have begun to pay attention to Christian Contemporary and Rock.

The first album I ever bought was by Louis Armstrong.

In high school I discovered the Grateful Dead (at a concert at William and Mary Hall on 9-11-73), but listened to most anything in the way of rock or jazz (Allman Brothers, Credence Clearwater Revival, CSNY, Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Procol Harum, Emerson Lake and Palmer,Supertramp, Chick Corea, Weather Report, Billy Cobham)...

In college I went to school with the B52s and REM, so of course I ended up a fan of theirs as well as other bands of that era (Talking Heads, U2, the Clash, Guadalcanal Diary, Pylon...).

And yet I still appreciate a good orchestral work, whether classical or modern...

I guess that I'm just a music slut, except that I draw the line at speed metal, headbanging music, and hip hop...

OH, and rap isn't music...

I am more of a Classical music fanboy here (Beethoven, Handel, Mozart, etc) and I do like military marching music too. Oh, and country's national anthems......

......And perhaps other tunes but really, that is my genre.

I always have said I only like one kind of music ....

GOOD music ...

Then one of my friends said ... he only likes one kind of music ...

BAAD music ...

And I guess they're the same ...

My first career was music ... RnR Guitar ... then symphony ... sax, guitar, piano ... then OMG "country" (which I used to hate!) .. but then I became math guy .. then computer guy and now I just play my guitar and piano for pleasure ...

But I like Baroque Strings ... that is my current craze ... but of course .. I only like one kind of music .... GOOOD music !!!
