OK, I have a stable beta build ready if anyone wants to have a look at some of the new stuff. I'd espcially like to have folks play with the new initial and ammy drafts.

* Note, to install this you MUST have PureSim 2007 1.51 installed, and you'll need your serial number handy. I have to go play a hockey game, so no time to post the readme. I am still probably going to polish a few things, but this is very close to release quality.

Do not download this if you don't like playing with beta software.

Download PureSim 2007 - Community Edition Beta:

I'm having problems starting the initial draft, anyone else? I click on the "Click here to start or resume the draft" link and the Loading/please wait flashes and the screen stays the same...

Nice going, I really like the new look for the initial draft. Only proplem I seen was there is no quick link for the front office on the association menu? That is the first place I head to after the first draft

Once again

Well I finally made it through my draft and I also like the new look.  Only thing that I didn't like is when I click on the button to sim til my pick, it takes you into the window to pick your player.  I'd like it to stop first so I can look at my favorites etc before I go into the window to select my player.

I really like the quick links on the Sim Games screen!!  Thank you for those!!!

Are there any other new features that we should look for?

Yea the fireworks are a tough loss but I'm excited to see any new features Shaun can squeak in sometime in the future.  The new draft features are really nice.

From the association menu, you can get to your team's front office by clicking your teams name (Title of the purple window), or you can press CTRL-T.

Is it just me, or are the minimize window buttons only on the main screen now? I coulda sworn they were on others. Not a huge deal, but would be a nice addition for us "full screeners" if possible, and yes I know I can alt-tab off too <G>. Oh and on that note, anyone know why when alt-tabbing there are always 2 icons for puresim? just curious.

EDIT: never mind they are there on the game simming screen!

I'm using PS-CE to finish up this year's model of my association. I like the quick-links, don't miss the fireworks.

Note for historical gamers: I renamed the crowd ambient rally(1) so it won't be used in-game. "We Will Rock You" just doesn't fit in a 1940s association.

Good idea! Any sounds out there to replace it for a more classic feel?

Trying out PS-CE.  Sweet!  How can I turn the sounds off?  I unchecked "Enable sounds" but that doesn't seem to work like it used to. That bat crack drives me...um, batty. I even renamed batcrack.wav and it won't go away.

Also, I don't think the "Click to select a team" pull-down list is functioning. I select a team and nothing happens.

Ravinhood, your reputation (such as it is) precedes you -- you haven't bought Pure Sim, now expect to get it for free, and then prattle on about another publisher's game.

I think you might be missing something. You do not have to have another edtition "just to test out a beta." All future releases of PureSim are free updates to anyone who bought PureSim 2007. This is not a beta test for a future commercial version of the game, it's simply a free update to anybody that purchased PS 2007.

I'm not sure why you felt compelled to make that post.

Shaun

Ahhhh I thought it was a new version, not a patch....sorry my mistake. I saw "community" in the title and thought I was part of the community. ;)
