Thanks for remaking this awesome game!
I was a massive fan of CAWII when it was out, I spent many hours trying to find a way of winning the "historical" singapore and java sea missions as the allies. I never got to play the original scenarios unfortunately, I think the game was off the shelves by the time I tried looking for it.

Just a couple of humble suggestions for the developers:
1) Include an option to set task group default behaviour when in surface combat:
There are some times when surface fights are one sided or simply unadvisable, eg a big transport fleet under attack by a cruiser squadron. Especially at night, these fights can keep occuring over and over again, requiring continuous player intervention to set them to a "flee" response.
It would be much more convenient and less frustrating for the player to be able to set default orders to task group elements rather than having to redo it all the time.
This is even a bigger issue if you happen to miss an engaged TG, which is easy to do sometimes in big scenarios. I once had all my carriers sunk because I missed the fact they were in combat (there were a couple of other fights going on at the time). They just sat there on their big asses as the jap battleships "closed", resulting in them being dead meat in turn 2 of the combat. Very bad.
Would be best if this could be set for individual TG elements EG: Carriers "flee", main "maintain", van and rear "close".

2) In the old game the player had access to the enemy order of battle simply by looking at the reference files. Maybe restrict this until ship ID is confirmed by sightings or something? You are a lot less likely to push your carriers boldy into the island chains in the middle of the night if you already know the Yamato is on the prowl....

3) If you do a Port Darwin scenario please include an option for a decent allied force. I'm an Aussie and playing this scenario was always an exercise in self flagellation.....

Thanks!
