My 4GB DDR2 667MHz array is complete, good for me. Now, if the Devs. would take some Heavy Arty. advice ... my services are cheap, just ask the Caliph of Egypt.

Organizing is fun. Everything and everyone must be classified, one way or another.

Dare I ask, exactly what are the services that you are so generously making available to the extremely fortunate Dev's?  Are you in the Heavy Arty. trade?

Yes, you may dare. Knowledge, knowledge and organization to unbefuddle the Heavy Arty. in the game, and the price is rice, which makes it nice. A Chinese Buffet will do.

All discussed earlier, and I believe some advice may have been absorbed, maybe not, unfortunate if not.

There may be possibility of some modding if the Heavy Arty. and a few small arms remain in their vanillar flavor.

Chris

I'm glad I asked.  I think that it was your reference to some kind of array in the first post that muddied the waters (that and something about some kind of Caliph).

I think Chris is referring to his numerous requests for 9"-11" Dahlgrens in the game?

Yup!!!!!!!!!!! Plus some changes in the small arms but that's really no big deal, and the fact that the 9" Blakely wasn't used, and the Picture they have of it is of the breach of a gun that had its orignal banded barrel cut-off for scrap and replaced with a large piece of pipe. The picture of this butchered gun is at an excellent ACW Arty. site. I know they hate me for this, but I think most people want some accuracy, especially with weapons.

I enjoy researching things like this and putting the correct info., or more accurate info. anyway, into mods. Gives a game a lot of flavor. I know a lot of people with such interests and many do the same thing with compooter games, that is they make them much more accurate and even playable through extensive reasearch and modding.

I'm not a PBEMer and don't play on the inet, but just enjoy researching and modding a bit, and I do use other people's mods and work. There are some great mods out there.

I like ships and boats too, except when they sink or become grounded.

Chris

PS: Plus CSA Ironclads and USA Ironclads should be able to negotiate Rivers, and CSA Ironclads shouldn't be able to negotiate or sail from one Coastal area to another, although USA Ironclads of course should be able to do this, and that's historical, but I can live with the ability of CSA Ironclads to sail from one Coastal area to another as it makes the game interesting. I NEED the CSA and USA Ironclads to be able to negotiate Rivers though.

Yup. I should have been one. It's warm in a library, and quiet. Smoking a ceegar during breaks could be done in an elevator I suppose.

Could have been in the Geology Section of DAK too, but I wasn't born yet, luckily for Rommel, either or the German or Polish Generals Rommel.

After the ACW, many CSA and USA soldiers and sailors went abroad and served as mecenaries in various countries around the world, and Egypt was one of those countries, and I believe former CSA General Sibley went to Egypt. Whether 'Caliph' or 'Kalifa' etc. is the correct term to use for the head of the government of Egypt I don't know off-the-top-of-my-head.
