Finally, I found it. the perfect name for a Maru. I was scrolling through a list of ships I'd sent to the bottom against the AI, and there it was: the Sinko Maru, or is that Sink-o Maru?

Now, if I was going to make up fake Maru names, I'd go with:

Eternal Friendship with the Peoples of Asia Maru
Adolf Hitler's Birthday Maru
Consolidated Payments Maru
Pink Pepto-Bismol Maru...
etc., etc.

The commander of the US Navy's title (prior to WWII) was CinC-US.

It was changed shortly after Pearl Harbor.

You could name an armed merchant the Kobiashi Maru.
