Ok, here we go. I just downloaded the Beta Patch and now I can't even get past the loading screen. After about 20 seconds while it is loading it just dumps me to the desktop. While it is loading I can hear the music.

Every version worked before. Where do I go from here?

Can you make sure you have Flash installed properly on your system? Moving this to the Beta forum.

The game always crashes when I exit : I have to switch to the task manager to end the process, 'cause it will not return properly to the desktop.

And I had a crash at the end of a detailed battle (but I had to switch many times to a mail application during the battle, so it may be related).

Config : W2K, SP4, 1 giga ram.

Zakouski, do you happen to know what your Page File settings are?  My guess is that the inability to exit is happening during deallocation of memory, and that in turn may be related to something going on in virtual memory.

My videos will no longer load with Matrix game videos because of Indeo Video no longer being compatible with Windows. So I have to delete all matrix videos. Then the game will load correctly. This may be your problem...

I checked the paging file size : it is 2 gigas on my system drive and 50-100 megas on my FOF drive. And it still crashes on exit.

This is odd, Indeo is certainly Windows compatible, you just have to have the codec installed. It no longer comes standard in Windows.

***Hey, what about downloading and installing the Matrix Codecs.*** I did just in case and everything works, even though it was working before because I have all new drivers for my video and good and cheap generic sound card. $29.99 for this generic sound card at a local computer store with 24-bit (I think) sound, 64-bit PCI bus master, compatible with Sound Blaster Pro and Winows Sound Systems, advanced MPC output mixer, Delta-Sigma data converters (whatever they are, some type of wave converter I guess), etc.

Well yes this is true...but now you have to purchase the codecs from Indeo...which I have no desire to do...

Hm, we provide them in several of our game installers, I'm surprised they haven't been installed on your system by now.
