SOunds good.

Now if I can figure out how to use these different databases I will be all set.

It should be as simple as putting the folder with the scenario in your scenario folder, and the one with the eqp. in your graphics folder.

ah simple you say but yet I still managed to foul this up somehow...I'm seeing lots of units equipped with large numbers of ICBMs so I can only assume I either did something wrong or the North Korean Army was better equipped than I thought. Here is what I did

1.placed the Korean war folder in a scenario folder
2.placed the Korea 50-53 folder in the graphics folder

any thoughts?

Probably you simply opened the wrong file. There is a modern Korea scenario like the one you describe.

no, thats not the problem. It's the right scenario, its just the equipment isnt showing properly. I imagine the designer used the ICBM slot to create his scenario specific equip but instead of the new stuff mine is showing the original slotted equipment.

I downloaded the scenario just now and unzipped it and
(1) moved the scenario folder to Modern - Asia
(2) moved the Korea 50-53 folder to my graphics directory
(3) started up TOAW and loaded the scenario and didn't get any "you're using the wrong equip. file" message

so I assume all is well.  Are you getting the "you're using the wrong equip. file " message?  What equipment has the ICBM's in it? Here's all the Communist equipment that is showing in my game:

It sounds to me like you are useing the wrong equip file. As Larry has already asked are you getting a wrong eqp. error message. Double check to make shure you put the korea 50-53 folder in your graphics folder. As well make sure that the eqp, folder with the eqp, and the scenario itself are all named exactly the same.

Are you sure you're running TOAW III?

Thanks got a little chuckle. From the 2007 post and the 2016 response.

Make sure you got the latest patch; which I take it you got. Anyway, check the version or at least post a screenshot in order to assist in troubleshooting.

Does anybody still play this game?
I tried the above links to get a Korean war scenerio and neither work for me..
I did manage to find and register at the GameSquad forums, but they have no scenerios available for this fine beer and pretzels game..Thank you..Bob

Just curious. What would qualify as a non-beer and pretzels game?

This link to Rugged Defense worked for me.

http://www.the-strategist.net/RD/scenarii/display_scenario.php?Id=623&sid=4e080536ed23a44486793e7b98cfc07b

So maybe if that doesn't work for you, go to the Home Page and search for the scenario. It is there, but it can't be posted here as it is too large.

If you can't get it any other way, just drop me a note ( address in the sig. ) and I'll send it to you myself. Just gimme your email
