I've nearly got the multiplayer game to work but not quite.

The IP and port seemed to connect me but then I couldn't work out what to do.
I went file/ new / and then put a name in and chose the soviet side.
I chose a quadrant to attack it said that there was one opponent and 2 allies.
The quadrant went green and said battle waiting. It said in the bottom left that i was waiting for an opponent.
So I waited and waited and waited I couldn't see any of the other quadrants doing anything and got fed up waiting then decided to click on play "AI
instead of human". I then got a pop up message telling me what to do next.
So I followed the instructions that it suggested to play another player.
This seemed contradictory to me as I'd clicked on "play AI".
Anyway I want to play another person so I followed that course. Unfortunately I didn't really Know what I was doing but I found the MMCC op that I wanted and connected to it and then had to wait again and for nobody to turn up.

I must be doing something wrong I guess.....Again I found nobody in BHQ to ask so I wondered if someone might be able to tell me where I'm going wrong.

Thank you for your time in reading such a long post.

If you have chosen to Play the AI instaed of the Huiman...the Die is cast.

Continue on and play vs the AI.. no matter how long you wait a human won't turn up. (Don't go to the multiplayer screen)
Make sure you have chosen MMCC3op from the saved game screen.

You can't force people to play h2h against you.

What port are you playing on?

Have yopu downloaded the new patched MMCC3 client from \Command Centre\CSO Downloads?

I'm around most days.

Thanks for all your help Schreken.
I'm at work until Monday now so won't be able to do anything until then.
Off the top of my head I think the ports were 2108-2110.
I've not downloaded the new patch no! I imagine/hope this would be the reason there are very few people to play against.
Having gone back there were one or 2 people who wanted to play against me but the games never happened.
I think this was my fault as I as I'd click OK on the pop up window and end up cancelling my attack some how.
We learn by our mistakes eh?

I never presumed that I could force people to play against me in H2h. I hoped that people would be able to see that I was waiting for a game. But now I gather it has to be a pre arranged thing?

What about BHQ? Do people ever get in there?
