First, I'd like to say 'out-standing' to Matrix et al:

I ordered up, and was dling inside of seconds of the order... , got the dig dl and the physical shipment (undoubtedly need that later, lol!), and now I'm a kid in the candy-store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The DL took about 30 mins, the patches only a few minutes more...Good freakin' job Matrix!

My major problem now will be 'resetting' all my short-cuts , and figuring out how to condense files from my long-standing ACOW folder to the newer T-3 folder.........(just makes ya want to cry for me, doesn't it, LOL!). I assume just a 'copy' will do for the acow .sce's, tho I expect an additional folder to be used for 'converting to T-3, will prolly be worth the hdd space.

Might even get it all done in time for the new workshop, assuming I can avoid anything the wife want's done, or going to work eh?

Anyone got tips concerning 'migration' problems..? I've been playing ACOW for 'donkey's years', and now need to move up to the new, eh?

Damn, this is SWEET !

Welcome to the 21st century  and enjoy!
You've still got some work ahead of you, converting all COW scenarios to TOAWIII.

@All;

Thanks, All! Looks like some good gaming ahead, eh?

@Boonie: looking forward to testing your scens, especially noting that they're on the disk! Back to you with any notes after I settle down a bit, LOL!

Minimum gaming time might keep me from getting back as soon as I'd like, but at least much to look forward to.....

Well, I decided to just piggy back onLzrd's thread. Just dowloaded TOAWIII yesterday, and got manual printed out last nite.

I'm actually a bit of a prodigal son, as I had TOAW when it first came out, then bought TOAW-WOTY -- but stopped short of ACOW (my wallet couldnt keep taking the pain).

I started reading the threads here and decided to go for it. One of the deciding factors, was seeing GJK's tile mod. Give the game a nice clean feel like the old board games I started on 35 yrs ago.

In any event, I'm still pretty reading the manuual and going through tutorial and I'll probably have some questions to post here, so bear with a "old" newbie.

Rick

That's nothing, wait until you see the revamped OB in volume 3 using a custom equipment file

Gonna try, but I'm on my 3rd learning run @ this scenario, and using all the house rules, looks like a realtime month to start getting it right, eh?

Totally outstanding work, Dude! So much meat to it, methinx I'll need a larger knife, LOL!

Will need to email you concerning a couple of questions re: your intent vis some of the house rules, just to get it all right.

Like, using Air in "direct support". Kinda clunky the way I'm doing it, you must have a sleeker way, eh?

Waiting for the 3rd installment is gonna hurt! Hope ya get some soon, LOL!

L`zard, we were on "hold" until you had TOAW III.

Do you still want to have a match?

Sorry, Rhino, I really don't have the time lately, eh? I'm not ready for prime-time yet anyway, LOL!

Gaming time has been seriously shortened by 'She Who Must Be Obeyed', and I'm using that learning T-3, and trying out Boonierat's Nam .sce, eh?

Apologies to you, guy!
