Personal Update

Well its June 16 and I have finally had the time to set up my computer and get my internet connection working.
(I certainly can feel what Lebatron went through in round 1)
This moving thing is really a time sink when it coincides with working some long days.

I hope all games are progressing (I dont see many aars for round 3) and to my opponents I should be able to become a ball of fire in our games starting this weekend.

Hi Jan. If it's ok with you, we should really start our tourney game. Since you're Axis, you can just send the turn to me when you're ready to start.

Kondor has beat me fare and square, he conducted a superb strategy aimed at crushing the USSR which I was unable to thwart.

Game has been reported in wargamer. I think it is a brilliant Victory for the Axis, please confirm.

Congratulations Dalibor

It was a AV, I had 81 at the end of the WA turn... But the victory screen has not been shown. (probably AV was not checked). Rafael could have bombed my resources few more turns, but he decided it was a futile, so he has thrown the towel.
It was a very good game, close as always when we two play. I assume he was distracted few turns=AV .

Brilliant Victory , I don't know what the heck must've been thinking of when I wrote that, it was an AV, which I suppose entitles Kondor for a Decisive Victory

It did something strange, I skipped the Axis victory video expecting the victory screen to splash but it did not show up, instead the save after doing the turn screen appeared so I saved it (sent that file to Kondor), after saving the game returned to the map screen but couldn't see the victory screen either, when pressing the X on the top right corner the game exited to windows instead of on to the main menu.

I had hope Kondor could see the result, but I guess he has not been able to.

Rafael.

Game 6 is in 1941 now.

Game 1 is trying to get started but there seem to be an issue with my install that I am trying to fix. Hopefully Avatar and I shall soon be able to play.

Game 6 has still not ended but will in one or at most two turns with an Allied Decisive Victory, from tomorrow monday I don't know if I would have been able to report the loss so I'm anticipating it, Jan has won this game brilliantly turning the tide when everything looked very dark for him in a devastating first opening move in Barbarrosa.
Congratulations Jan.

I have received the following Email from Avatar47:

Avatar47 has lost interest in AWD.
Avatar47's games have been forfieted.
One game remains in this round and now that summer is over I plan to get cranking on faster turns.

To bad that another comrade has fallen before end of the tour. DAMN THE WAR, so many young lives... wasted... Oh, well. One less in the hunt for the grand prize!
I will to take a little break from the game, but that will be AFTER the tournaments... And I will come back for more after r&r

A shame to lose Avatar as I was hoping to finally get the chance to play him in the tourny! But I share Kondor's sentiment - I am in the tourny "for the duration." I may take breaks from the game later, but I expect to come back to it from time to time as I think it is a classic!

On the same subject, MrQ said he might consider limiting the number of rounds in the tourny if others are in agreement. Maybe a maximum of 5-7 rounds would be sufficiently decisive - although the tourny may be decided by then anyway. Still - if the remaining players have any input on this, please post! I'd hate to lose another player.
