I have V 1.6 installed but now see there is a 1.804. Is there a 1.7 or other patch that I should have?
Is there a forum or board that discusses the downloads and what they entail?

1.804 is a comprehensive patch, which means it updates any previous version. There's a "what's new" file included that tells you what it does...
