That narrows it down.

A bigger clue could be that it may still exist as a museum or something...since that picture looks like a modern picture (high quality).

That appears to be an overhead light next to the guages...not natural light from a porthole, which is what I first thought.

Can't make out the guages though...I'm going to guess that it is on a sub, don't know which one.

I had to cut the picture quality due to size limits. One of the guages reads MAIN STEAM another reads VALVE CHEST

This is not a sub

Yes, the last batlleship class built for the USN using triple expansion steam engines and boy are those things huge.

Always love to going down to San Jacinto and spend a day on her. Well worth the price of admission. Plus the battle grounds are right there too.

Check this.

Go to http://www.mapblast.com/(yz3tau551efkpe45ir03taii)/Home.aspx
type in San Jacinto State Park
On the NW side of the park is an inlet go to it then choose birds eye view.

pbear,

Thanks. That is a cool view. My father served on the Texas 44-45. I made one brief visit to her when I was headed cross-country one time, but would love to go back for a longer visit.
