Gents (that means YOU Avatar47) I just realized my new platform (MAC) doesn't support AWD, please log loss reports for me and take 2 decisives. I apologize for this tardy response, I just switched continents (moving Transatlantic unexpectedly kinda sucks) and now the computer won't back me up in my quest to ummmm, participate.

Christian has bowed out of the tournament due to changeing computer platforms.

MikeMcMann and Haudrauf1962 both replied with interest in replacing him.
I rolled some online dice which emailed the results to Mike and Haudrauf and after 2 tie rolls Haudrauf1962 has won a second chance in the tournament.

Ok all the games from round1 are wrapped up now.
Please have a look at your scores and make sure I have not made any mistakes.

All Games for Round2 Should Be starting now.

There may be a problem with Wargameplayer. As far as the forum software shows he has not logged in since January 13th making it hard to reach him. I have just dispatched a mail to him. If I dont hear from him shortly it may be worth considering skipping him and having Avatar and I meet instead.

If anyone knows the whereabouts of wargameplayer then by all means please do post.

If it's allowed/needed, I'd like to sign up as a replacement player for Wargameplayer or anyone else who leaves the tournament prematurely.

Hmm, I don't think starting right in the second round will be allowed - unless you're one of the developers, maybe.

Jan, Avatar and I can not seem to contact Wargameplayer and thus I declare him MIA.
Tis a shame to, because he was doing very well tied in third place.
MikeMcmann will have his score reset to (0) and he will be stepping up to take over Wargameplayers position in the game schedule. (thanks Mike)

Game 1 ends in a marginal victory for Jan and the Allies (in winter of '46)! I will finish the AAR either later today or tomorrow - so you can find out how it ends. A great game though, and a learning experience.

Mike and I finished our game as he gave up.

He had landed a large BEF in East Prussia leading me to trapping half the RN in the Baltic and driving the BEF into the sea.
When a Spanish coup trapped the other half of the RN in the Med leaving the English without surface fleets in the Atlantic he decided to surrender.
By then my plan had switched from a Russia first to building transports to attempt Sealion.

I am very sorry to hear that GKar since you play very well.
Time is definately a very valuable commodity.
As the weather warms up and the sun stays up longer I am also finding it more and more difficult to find gameing time.

Good luck in your future

I got the GKar mail and I am sorry he is out for now... (I hope it is only for the time being, because it would be a real loss to lose such a good player and gent;-).

MrQuiet when you will have the time, please schedule me a new opponent in this tour.

Thanks for your kind understanding, and I'm sure that I'll come back to AWD sooner or later.

I'm not sure what to do about the loss reports and scoring, I wouldn't mind filing them (technically I gave up) so just tell me if that's what should be done. An alternative could be a (fast) match between MrQuiet and kondor as a replacement.

game 8 is now at the end of ´45. We are very close to the end... It will be very close... (leaning to rjh1971 minor victory, but I am still hoping for a draw)
The border ha not changed from fall 1946 (I failed to reach first watermark after both sides unfroze on me

Thanks for the update Kondor.

I would also like to inform all the tournament players that I will be away on vacation (my annual Harley Ride down to Bike Week Myrtle Beach SC) Sat May 12 - May 19

I expect to have no access to the interent except via my cell phone to check my emails.
All my pms on this board are fowarded to my email but I do not think I can respond to them that way.
So if any players need to reach me they can email me direct at MrQuiet67 at Yahoo.com and I will be able to reply in a limited mannor.

I will be making a bit of a effort while I am down there to find an internet cafe or something so that I can visit this forum.

Carry On

Game 9: rjh_vs_tica is in Winter '46, and in Tim's hands.
Thought an update was most necessary since I read it standed in 1942.
So as you can see it's almost done.

Regards.

Game 8
Kondor (Axis) vs rjh1971 (Allies) ends in Wi46 with an Allied Substantive Victory

Kondor made a silly mistake sending all units to garrison E Germany, thus a collapse of Germany inmediatly took place and since the US had the A-bomb that was the end of it.
Had it not been for that mistake other result could have been very plausible.

It was a great game and a tough opponent.

Please Kondor confirm the result and don't forget to log the result in Wargamer.com,

Thanks.

I confirm. It was a very interesting game! Congratulations to victor.
Yes, I made several big mistakes in this game (unfrozing of both sides kept me of even first watermark, and at the end I retreated all my forces to E. Germany... like this is a WaW+ I tought that for A-bomb WA needs attack 10 with HB-s). It´s obvious that I will have to pay more attention to the rules...

Thanks to rjh1971 for interesting game and for another learning lession!

I have reported loss at wargamer.
