My present version of WitP is 1.804 and I got the following Combat Report which mentions that "Mogami" has been sunk. However, this report stays in contradiction with the "Intelligence Report" which notes that no Japanes ships were sent to the bottom of the sea.
Is this simply a bug of WitP or can this problem be fixed?

Is this a PBEM game or a game vs. the AI?

I assume you're not playing the Japanese? It's perfectly normal for enemy ships to take a while to show up in the Intel reports. Not a bug.

Do you have Fog-of-War set to ON?

Does the air losses screen show the loss of the Jake and Dave floatplanes?

Yes, you are correct; I play agaiinst the Japaneses. However, does it make sense to hide the result for a while although the ship was sunk during the battle?

That's what Fog of War means... Your RN sailors might not know anything other than the fact that they've sunk a Jap CA, much less the Mogami...

Fog-of-war is set on and both aircraft are reported as "lost".

Yes indeed, your explanation makes sense. But the fact remains, one ship was sunk whether this was Mogami or any other vessel.

FOW might show some hits during a combat replay that didn't happen. Being a night action you might 'think' you sank a ship in the smoke and heat of battle.
More often a ship that sinks a day or so later might not be reported for up to 60 days.

The a/c losses screen is always correct so if you see floatplane losses you know for definate that a CA went down. This loophole spoils the FOW but is not a game-breaker.
