Back when I had the original BTR (before some theif stole it and my PC!) a favourite tactic of mine was to send RAF Mosquito fighters to patrol near German night fighter bases. I got lots of kills and used to end up really hurting the German night fighter effort but it was very hard work in terms of plotting each aircraft so I had pretty much continous cover over the chosen bases. Has this been changed at all in the new version ?

there are a few ideas on what we could do, but so far, we have not been able to make any changes to how this works as of now

to be honest, it is one of the more time consuming areas of the game, and I would really like a way to make it easier/faster, but as of right now, other things are in the way of working on that part of it

I hope something can be done about the entire gruppe continuing towards the base and many getting shot down, even after the NF has killed someone and the base would halt landings. I know that some 'blue planes' are hurting for fuel, and hence have to land (and there is no divert logic), but any that have fuel should pause 'off base' as long as possible to let the NF leave! I often have a NF as my leading ace due to just this issue!

I've got the same gripe... it took sooooo long to plot every night intruder/ecm aircraft/recon. I wouldn't trust that stuff to my stupid AI staff (they loved sending my recon over units with a ton of AA and at 500 feet). Don't get me started on taking two hours plotting raids, escorts, recon, feints, etc and then seeing everything go pfft cuz of the weather. I'd like/love a "redo" button that would let me fly the same mission as yesterdays.

Ah, yes, the great experience of plotting a complex number of raids and night intruder sorties and then having them scrubbed by weather.

Agreed on the "redo" - I'd love a "save plot" option in the planning phase once you've planned a load of complex raids and NI sorties that you could then load the next day. Failing that, a "Follow using same unit" option for NI sorties.
