Btw, RUPD. Wanted to ask you. Got a police report at work that made me wonder that the heck the PO was thinking. In the desription, the PO clearly states which vehicle was at fault, yet he not only didnt bother to get the guys insurance info, but he didnt even get his registration info, just the info of the driver. Whats even more annoying, the PR isnt even signed. Is there a special comfy chair in every precinct for those folks? If there isnt, there should be.

I get criminal reports like this all the time. No phone number or any way of contacting the victim and a lousy narrative. Sometimes I have to look back at the cover page to see what crime they are describing because the narrative is so bad I have no idea what they are talking about.

All I ask is that they get the victim's name and phone # correct so I can at least call the victim up and retake the report myself and then do the investigation.

As to your report it looks like the driver didn't have the other two documents at the scene and the officer put the report through before doing any follow up. In NJ we can't get insurance info through the DMV computer but if the driver does not supply it within 24 hours he gets slapped with a nasty no insurance ticket. Could be that his Sgt put the incomplete report through before he had a chance to fix it.

Thats the part that ticks me off. In NY you can run both reg info and insurance info off the plate alone. Heck, at my office I can do it in about 30 seconds. Methinks the PO could have done it as well. No. Its deffinitely the comfy chair for that guy.

OK. OK. But only because youre invading Michigan. Those evil Michiganianseses must be taught a lesson.

Incidentally. Another vehicle? Zoinks! Is that the sound of another logistics officer getting a small inkling of how much pain planning Barbarossa must have been?

That's an odd question for the Thread

Have you checked in the art folder to make sure the mouse.bmp file is actually there?

The Treaty of San Germano in July ends hostilities between Pope Gregory IX and Friedrich II, who is absolved from excommunication after promising to respect the papal territory and to allow freedom of election to the Sicilian clergy.

León's Alfonso IX dies childless September 24 after a 42-year reign. León accepts Ferdinand III of Castile as sovereign and he unites the two kingdoms (see 1157).

The Nicaean emperor John III Vatatzes gains support from the Bulgarian czar Ivan Asen II and defeats the despot Theodore Ducas in battle at Klokotnitsa in Bulgaria (see 1225; 1235).

Bohemia's Ottakar I dies December 15 at age 75 (approximate) after a 33-year reign in which he has won autonomy from the German king and hereditary rights for the house of Premysl. He is succeeded by his son, who will rule until 1253 as Wenceslas I.

Berlin is founded on the site of former Slavic settlements (see Hohenzollerns, 1411).

Leprosy arrives in England with returning crusaders who have accompanied Friedrich II to the Holy Land.

The Teutonic Knights under the leadership of their grand master Hermann von Salza begin a long campaign to Christianize Prussians in the Baltic area

If I remember correctly: Reserves only have Federal responsibility while NG has both State and Ferderal

It is confusing. The Reserves consists of the US Army Reserves and the National Guard. The US Army Reserves is a nationwide organization that belongs to the Army. There are 54 National Guard organizations, one belonging to each state, territory (Guam, VI and Puerto Rico) and district (District of Columbia). I (obviously) belong to the Ohio Guard. The Ohio Guard belongs to the Governor of Ohio and is the state militia. We can be "activated" by the US Army (Title 10) and then belong to the US Army for the duration of the orders. That's what happened to me when I deployed to Kosovo and will happen to me again when I deploy to Iraq. When that happens, the governor loses control of us.

It's actually about 60 miles. Until I joined that unit (just a few months ago) I spent the first 14 years at a unit <10 miles from home and the last few years, the unit was about 35 miles away. You end up going to places far away for two reasons. Either it's a good unit or you want to get promoted. For me, it was the former. I'm not worried about getting promoted. If you work hard, you get promoted.

We do it pretty much every year. We go there and decide we really don't want to stay and come back home. Oh yeah, we bypass Detroit every time. We're not that stupid.

Correct. The Guard gets all the fun state missions like tornadoes, floods, hurricanes, snowstorms, prison riots, etc. Been to all of em except tornados....
