Will float fighters stationed on surface ships and seaplane carriers fly CAP mission and the like while the ships are at sea.

Also, if you had a CV/BB hybrid ship like the Furious that flew wheeled aircraft (not Ise hybrid with floats) hwo would it act? Anyone tried this just messing around?

Turns out things are not as you would expect. And - FYI - Hyuga/Ise had BOTH carrier planes and floatplanes - but originally were intended for ONLY carrier planes!

In the game you can put any plane on any ship. We have B-25s on Hornet. I once flew zeros from Nagato by mistake (meaning Rufes). And yes, floatplanes fly from some ships while at sea - notably battleships, cruisers and seaplane carriers. NOT from AV - except two special cases mentioned in the manual - apparently.

So you can put a couple of Kates on, say, a cruiser like Kumano and they would function just as Kates? Or did you mean any kind of float fighter/plane?

Probably. You can put bombers on a BB - so probably a CA too. I fly D4Y from Hyuga types. Also M6A1. Which, few know, is a D4Y with floats!
