I shot down 14 nasty Allied planes for the loss of a Rufe shot down (what an empty honor that was for that Allied pilot).

BTW Robert, I've seen your answer to that triple upload question, but didn't have time to respond then...Checked it out again and it seems that for some reason this feature is available only in General Forum.

Tithe.

Question for you guys. Does anyone know of a strategic level, ww2 eastern front game out there that has both a decent and realistic combat system and doesnt look like a cross between squad leader and Panzer General? I've looked through the whole Matrix inventory and havent found one here. Everything is either (hardly surprising) Eurocentric, or very old and looks pre Pentium. Please help.

Next question........ What do you guys think of the Jack?

Better than the A6M5 but since I have preschoolers flying them they are not faring well against experienced Allied P-38s in Mid 44

Yes. I don't think they were but they are listed as carrier capable

Oddy enough. I just woke up from a nap myself. One of those that seems to last forever and is almost...almost better than sex.

Its realy disturbing that no one has answered my question yet.

There has got to be at least one game out there thats both fun and doesnt have d-day as the center of the universe.

Slackers! I taught driving school and cut the grass today while you guys kicked back.

Final interveiw with the Chief tomorow for the Lt position. I don't know if I should be happy or disappointed if I get passed over.

Talon Soft's Rising Sun was the only game I know of (other than SP) that even covered the land aspect of the PTO.

I think the decideing factor is whether Ms. Rupd will be happy or dissapointed. I'm guessing that even if youre happy but she's not....well....

Oooops! Sorry, guys. I guess I could have phrased that better. I meant East as in Russkie-land. I'm hoping that there is a game somewhere that goes into as much detail of the Russian front as some games do for, say, africa or normady. The only game I know of that comes even remotely close is TOAoW. But that one only had a few scenarios and I hated the combat resolution engine.

Good luck RUPD, I hope it works out for you and you get whatever you want...which if it were me would be a full time job flirting with women on the beach in Cabo.

...and btw, not a slacker, I got in an 8 mile hike this AM and was still home by noon (that's with an hour driving)...after my nap I determined I couldn't fix my hard disk , but I did get my iPod fixed.

Now to do the Threadwar turn.
