I like this game and would like to buy it but the download size is too big. I'm on Hughesnet satellite and can only download about 350 meg per 24 hour period. However, with a download manager I can get half one day and half the next. Is that possible with your download system? I typically use the Star download manager addon for IE7.

As I understand it it just resumes automatically if you re-start the download. I think you can use a download manager as well should you wish.

With Download Accelerator I got it all in just over 10 minutes.

Thanks for your replies.

It's not the time, it's the size of the download.  This is over 500 meg.  I'm only allowed about 350.  Bummer but I'm way out in the country with no dsl, no cable, I'm lucky to get one phone line.  So before ordering I need to be certain the download site supports stopping and restarting with a download manager.  Some sites do and some don't.

Yes, it does support this and we recommend Star Downloader in fact. You can always go to www.findmyorder.com to re-download as well.

I just tried this "without" a download manager and it doesn't work. I interrupted the download approx. 50 meg into it, then rebooted as the above initial poster would probably do if he was splitting his download to resume the next day. Once restarted, and back to the download product screen, it would only restart the download from the beginning.

He will definitely have to use a download manager. Since I currently do not need a download manager, I can't test it using one. Anyone else?

edit: I found and installed and tested GetRight (download manager) and it works just fine, so using a download manager should allow you to split your download with no problem.

That's great Erik. I'll buy in the next day or two. Thanks.

Actually in your case I would recommend to wait for the boxed version.

Rich,

FWIW, I used Getright for my download and it worked great. One nice thing about Getright is it tells you during the download whether the site doesn't support download resuming. I never got this message downloading from Matrix/DR.

Hope this helps,
